This matchup takes place between divisional two divisional rivals, the (3-6-1) Cardinals and the (8-1) 49ers. Kyler Murray’s first season as the Cardinals’ quarterback wasn’t the greatest but is something to build off of. David Johnson’s recent injury hasn’t helped their record. They have virtually no chance of making the playoffs but can use the rest of the season to further develop Murray. As for the 49ers, their season is looking great. They fell as the last undefeated team last week to the Seahawks but still hold a half game lead over them and control their own destiny in the division. A win this week would put them back on the right track and help them in a possible tie breaker situation if it comes down to it. Arizona Cardinals Analysis

Arizona CardinalsThe Cardinals are coming off a very close game against the Buccaneers. They couldn’t manage to squeeze by them, but Kyler Murray and Christian Kirk showed their true chemistry. They hooked up for three touchdowns and 138 yards. If this was any sign of things to come, the Cardinals will be in good shape with the youth on their team. If they are transitioning to an air-raid offense, this is the way to do it.

Kyler Murray will have a tougher time this week as he is changing from facing the worst defense against the pass to the best. The 49ers have given up just 143.8 passing yards per game which is almost the equivalent of what Kirk had as an individual last game. The 49ers are likely to be covering Kirk the closest which will force Murray to look elsewhere. The addition of Kenyan Drake in the backfield will be useful for giving the 49ers new looks every play when intertwined with David Johnson.

San Francisco 49ers Analysis

San Francisco 49ersThe 49ers suffered their first loss last week on Monday night in a heartbreaking way as they missed a game-winning field goal in overtime to which the Seahawks exchanged into a game winning field goal for themselves. One key take away from the game is the use of their committee backfield. With three backs to choose from, the 49ers can give tons of different looks with who carries the ball. Tevin Coleman was their leading rusher in terms of yards, but Matt Breida led the way in touches. Also, Jimmy Garoppolo was able to hook up with Deebo Samuel a lot with 8 receptions for 112 yards. The rookie seems to be fitting in well in the 49ers’ scheme and is a good sign of things to come, especially in a playoff run.

The 49ers beat the Cardinals just two weeks ago. It was a lot closer of a game than it needed to be, but if they return to the same kind of scheme, they should be set. Jimmy Garopollo threw for 317 yards and 4 touchdowns which should be their focus again. The Cardinals are susceptible to letting up big plays through the air, so that should be their type of attack with a mix of their plethora of running backs to choose from. The defense will need to be more lock down this week than they were the previous two weeks. If both sides of the ball play as they are capable of playing, they will have no problem this week.

Daily Fantasy: I’m On Deebo Lit

Deebo Samuel had a big game last week despite the losing effort. He had 8 receptions for 112 yards. He was out there for 82% of snaps which is an increase from his usual workload. If this trend goes up, he could become a huge factor in the 49ers’ offense. With Emmanuel Sanders banged up, his usage will only increase. The Cardinals’ defense is especially vulnerable to the pass. They have allowed the second-most passing yards and the most passing touchdowns in the league. There is a big chance for Samuel to step up this week and prove that he is a viable option for fantasy owners.
