Arizona vs. Oregon Prediction & Pick
The pick: Arizona -4
Arizona rebounded nicely on Thursday when they beat Oregon State after a disappointing loss at home to Washington State. Arizona is based around Azuolas Tubelis who’s the leading scorer at 21 points per game. Oumar Ballo is the second of a monster duo down low for Arizona. Ballo is the second-leading scorer and leads the team in rebounds and blocks too. Kerr Kriisa is a dynamic point guard who leads Arizona in assists and is the Wildcats’ best three-point shooter at the guard spot. Pelle Larsson has also been very good recently after a rough start to the season.
As a team, Arizona is one of the best offensive teams in the country. They are third in the country in scoring at 86 points per game, they are 9th in field goal percentage, and top-20 in point differential. They are also top-10 in assists too. They are 3rd in college basketball in rebounding at 42 rebounds per game as well.
On the other side, Oregon just hasn’t lived up to their preseason expectations. They’ve dealt with a lot of injuries which has definitely hurt their season. The best player for Oregon is Will Richardson. He leads the Ducks in scoring, assists, and steals from the point guard spot. N’Faly Dante has been very good as the center for the Ducks this season too. He’s the second-leading scorer and leads the team in rebounds. Quincy Guerrier has also been very good too as the third-leading scorer. Also, Jermaine Cousinard has been good since coming back from injury too.
As a team, they’ve been solid defensively, but need to improve on offense. The biggest thing going against Arizona is that this game is on the road, and the crowd in Oregon will be crazy. However, Arizona is the better team here and should win a close game in Eugene.
