Atlanta Hawks vs. Indiana Pacers 12/26/18: Starting Lineups, Matchup Breakdown, Odds, Daily Fantasy, Betting
Atlanta Hawks vs. Indiana Pacers Preview
The Atlanta Hawks (9-23) host the Indiana Pacers (22-12) tonight as they look for their fourth straight win.
The Hawks haven’t had much go their way this season but found a way to win three-straight has changed their perspective a bit. They’ll have a tough task in trying to extend tonight against a Pacers team that has won their last two and eight of their last 10, currently with the third seed in the East.
The Hawks and Pacers last met on November 17, with the Pacers taking the 97-89 win behind 22 points from Bojan Bogdanovic and a 16 rebound, six assist night from Domantas Sabonis.

Hawks Analysis
The Hawks current win streak has come without the services of starting forward John Collins, who leads the team in scoring. In their last win against the Detroit Pistons, veteran Vince Carter had a big night with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Carter was one of six Hawks who finished with double figures. Atlanta, who has one of the worst defensive ratings in the league, somehow kept Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond from scoring more than 15 points.
Center Alex Len also came up big with 15 points and 17 rebounds, his season high.
Atlanta has the fastest-paced offense in the league, but that pace hasn’t worked out to be an advantage this season. Collins is questionable for tonight’s game, and even with him back, a team that is turnover-prone like the Hawks will need to clean that up against a tough defensive opponent.
If the Hawks want to prove that their streak isn’t a fluke against some of the lesser teams in the East, they’ll have to do so against one of the best tonight.

Pacers Analysis
After losing two close games against the Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers, the Indiana Pacers got back on track with a pair of wins against Brooklyn and Washington.
Indiana, who is the NBA‘s top defensive unit, limited the Wizards to just 89 points on Sunday, while all five of their starters and two bench players broke double digits. They were led by Myles Turner, who had a monster game with 18 points and 17 rebounds.
The Pacers are making some serious noise in the Eastern Conference. They are only 2.5 games out of first place, and they are tied with Brooklyn for the best record in their last 10.
Aside from leading the Pacers in scoring, Oladipo is also a big part of Indiana’s league-leading defense. He’s no longer a one-dimensional shooter and he hustles on defense, drawing praise from head coach Nate McMillan.

Atlant Hawks vs. Indiana Pacers Betting Odds
On paper, this game doesn’t look to be close, and the odds show as much. The Pacers are -7 point favorites to take the win on the road tonight. The over/under is 216 points, and the moneyline is at -300 for the Pacers and +250 for the Hawks.
The Hawks haven’t taken the most of their advantage as the home team historically, with a win percentage of 52.1 percent, and 30.8 percent as the underdog. The Pacers are 65-85 on the road, but 110-41 as the favorite.

DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Picks
The Hawks don’t have a stud in the typical sense, but I’ll include John Collins ($8.3k) if he plays. He’s projected for 31.25 points on FanDuel. Oladipo ($8.5k) is the play for the Pacers. With his offensive and defensive prowess, Oladipo is certainly a difference-maker, and he’s projected to finish with 47.04 points tonight.
Value players are Hawk’s swingman Kent Bazemore ($6.8k), who is projected for 31.01 fantasy points, and Pacers forward Thaddeus Young ($5.9k) who is expected to rack up 29.23 points on FanDuel.
