Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors Matchup Preview
Boston is coming off of a blowout win over Brooklyn and will take on the two-seeded Toronto Raptors. Toronto has looked to be the better team while Boston has struggled in their bigger games this season. Both Jayson Tatum and Pascal Siakam have averaged 23.3 points per game so far this season. Vegas is expecting a close game and these games have usually been close leading up until later in the game where they slip away. Boston has won two of the first three games of the series. Both have nearly equal offensive numbers and two great defenses. We also get to watch Nick Nurse and Brad Stevens go to work as this is a great matchup of basketball minds.

Celtics Starting 5
Boston still finds themselves struggling for consistency in the big games and this is one that can build some momentum going through the final stretch. This is a meaningful game as they can cling to the three seed with a few more wins. If not, Miami has a chance to sneak in. Kemba Walker has been battling knee issues and did sit out last game due to rest. We should continue to see a minutes limit on him, but the upper 20s and lower 30s are where he is almost at. Boston has the backcourt names to throw at Toronto for defensive purposes. We should see a lot of Marcus Smart again going up against Lowry and VanVleet. Jaylen Brown will be as well and these matchups will certainly dictate the game.
Raptors Starting 5
The backcourt play has been tremendous Toronto. Kyle Lowry has averaged 18-10-7 in the three games back in the bubble. He is into shooting particularly well from the field but has hit from three and has gotten to the line. Fred VanVleet has been amazing, averaging 23-4-8 in the three games back. We will get to watch the intriguing matchup of Jayson Tatum and Pascal Siakam. Both have had their moments in this series. Both of these teams could meet down the road. Toronto will have to tighten up against this Celtics offense that has been clicking, however, the defense is certainly one Boston has yet to see yet since returning to the bubble.
Celtics vs Raptors Fantasy Basketball Angle
This is a great GPP game to target tonight. There will not be a lot of red in the matchup tables as both of these teams have tougher defenses. However, the upside is still there and pricing is not too bad on some of these names. For Boston, it remains the forwards with Gordon Hayward and Jayson Tatum. I will also lump Jaylen Brown in there. All three are projected for over 30 fantasy points tonight and Hayward is a nice value on FanDuel. The backcourt of Toronto with Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry has been playing extremely well. Because this game doesn’t attract the most fantasy potential like Pelicans-Wizards or Nets-Kings the ownership should flock there. However, those rotations could be tough to trust given they are not playing for anything at this point.
Celtics vs Raptors Betting Odds
Celtics Odds: +100
Raptors Odds: -120
Spread: TOR -1.5
Toront0 and Boston games have been very close of late as the teams are consistently int he top four of the Eastern Conference and have battled out many games. No surprise to see a tight came projected by Vegas tonight. Both teams are almost at full health, as Kemba Walker still is limited. Boston has been somewhat inconsistent at times as they lost to a Miami team without Jimmy Bulter. Toronto has looked like their usual selves and I give them a slight edge tonight. They have looked like the best team in the Eastern Conference since returning and Boston’s offense still scares me given they can go ice cold from the field. The spread for Toronto is worth a wager tonight.
