Denver Broncos Vs. Kansas City Chiefs Same Game Parlay (10/12/23)

On Thursday (10/12/23), the Denver Broncos travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs. In this article, find a Same Game Parlay for Broncos Vs. Chiefs with player props featuring Isiah Pacheco, Courtland Sutton, and Rashee Rice.

Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs Same Game Parlay Picks

My beloved Denver Broncos are 10.5-point underdogs on the road against the Chiefs, and Kansas City seems poised to win their 16th-straight game against them. While that’s a sobering thought for me as a fan, we can add some excitement to this game with a SGP.

Full disclosure here – I accidentally wrote a player props article for this game before realizing that I was assigned the Same Game Parlay article for Thursday Night Football instead. Check out Kody Malstrom’s player props article for those picks. Here, I turned my player prop selections into a SGP on BetMGM.

Leg 1: Isiah Pacheco 80+ Rushing Yards

Isaiah Pacheco hasn’t been over this number all season, but this has all of the makings of a monster game from him. The Broncos have been atrocious in stopping the run, ranking 31st in EPA, and the Chiefs are expected to be playing with a lead as they are 10.5-point favorites.

Pacheco is averaging 3.56 yards after contact per attempt, which ranks ninth out of 58 qualified rushers per PFF. That sets up perfectly against a Broncos defense that ranks dead last in PFF tackling grades.

Check out some of the recent running back performances against the Broncos:

  • Brian Robinson Jr. – 18 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns
  • De’Von Achane – 18 carries for 203 yards and two touchdowns
  • Khalil Herbert – 18 carries for 103 yards
  • Breece Hall – 22 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown

The Chiefs could also opt to lean on the run more often in this game as Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are both dealing with ankle injuries on a short week. Some sportsbooks offer alternate rushing yardage lines on Pacheco, and I recommend checking those out as Pacheco could finish with well over 100 rushing yards here.

Leg 2: Courtland Sutton 4+ Receptions

If you buy into the game script that Vegas is projecting, you should expect the Broncos to be playing from behind and passing often. Cortland Sutton leads Denver with 21 receptions this season on a 19% target share. He’s averaging 4.2 receptions on 6.2 targets per game this season.

We’re also getting a nice buy low opportunity on Sutton here. Last week against the Jets, he saw a lot of Sauce Gardner, one of the best corners in the NFL. The Chiefs have talented cornerbacks, but nobody of the same caliber as Gardner. Trent McDuffie, their top graded corner per PFF, will be matched up with Jerry Jeudy in the slot.

Prior to the last two weeks, Sutton had 4+ catches in 8 of his last 9 games where he was fully healthy, including four catches against the Chiefs in January 2023, which was Week 17 of last season. While I don’t expect the Chiefs to score 70 points like the Dolphins did, it’s worth noting that in that big time trailing game script, Sutton had 8 catches.

Leg 3: Rashee Rice 30+ Receiving Yards

The Chiefs have struggled to get consistent production out of their wide receiver room this season, but rookie wideout Rashee Rice is picking up some slack. He’s been over this number in three straight games, including 59 receiving yards against a Bears defense that rates similarly to that of the Broncos.

Travis Kelce had a scary non-contact ankle injury against the Vikings last week, and there’s no guarantee that he plays this week. Even if he does, I expect the Chiefs to exercise caution on a short week. That would provide an opportunity for other pass-catching weapons to step up.

Rice leads all Chiefs receivers with an 81.6 PFF receiving grade and 2.62 yards per route run, and he’s been earning more routes in the offense. Matt Nagy spoke this week about Rice growing into a bigger role, and he has a great opportunity this week against a banged up Broncos secondary.

Same Game Parlay Card For Denver Broncos Vs. Kansas City Chiefs

  • Isiah Pacheco 80+ Rushing Yards
  • Courtland Sutton 4+ Receptions
  • Rashee Rice 30+ Receiving Yards
