Denver Broncos Vs. Detroit Lions Same Game Parlay (12/16/23): Expert Predictions

On Saturday, the Denver Broncos face the Detroit Lions in a primetime matchup with significant playoff implications. In this article, find a Same Game Parlay for the NFL matchup. This SGP features Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, Russell Wilson, and Courtland Sutton.

Denver Broncos vs. Detroit Lions Same Game Parlay Picks

On a Saturday with three NFL games to enjoy, this primetime affair between the Broncos and Lions is arguably the best of the day. In this article, I’ll build a Same Game Parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook for the game. Keep in mind that different books will offer different odds for SGPs, and there are always promotions you can utilize for additional value. Let’s get to work.

Leg 1: Jahmyr Gibbs 50+ Rushing Yards (-122)

The Lions have been utilizing rookie first round pick Jahmyr Gibbs more and more each week, and he’s one of the most dynamic runners in the NFL, ranking third with a 39.7% breakaway run rate per PFF. Gibbs is now over this rushing yardage number in six of his last seven games and seven of 11 games this season.

The Broncos will give Gibbs opportunities in this game with a league worst tackling unit per PFF and a run stopping unit that ranks 31st by DVOA. Denver also allows 144 rushing yards per game, the most in the NFL, so even if you like David Montgomery more than Gibbs, there’s plenty of room for both running backs to have success.

Leg 2: Sam LaPorta Anytime Touchdown (+160)

The Broncos should also present a great opportunity for Sam LaPorta to have success as they have allowed 69.4 receiving yards per game to tight ends, the second-most in the NFL. LaPorta’s yardage prop is a solid approach here, but I’d rather take the juicy odds on this touchdown prop, especially with other sportsbooks offering even money on this play.

LaPorta has scored six touchdowns this season, including two in his last three games, and his six touchdowns this year are tied for the most at the tight end position. With Denver’s hapless tight end defense on deck, look for LaPorta’s impressive rookie season to continue with the highest target share of all time for a rookie tight end.

Leg 3: Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown (+125)

It seems like every week that Courtland Sutton has an acrobatic, highlight-reel touchdown, and he has scored in ten of the team’s 13 games this season. Sutton is arguably the best contested catch receiver in the NFL this season, and his body control and physicality at the catch point are remarkable.

Sutton might not need to pull out his bag of tricks to find the end zone this week as the Lions have allowed 1.3 touchdowns per game to wide receivers, the third-most in the NFL. Detroit ranks 28th in PFF’s coverage grades, and they have been burned by perimeter receivers week after week. Sutton should be the next in line.

Same Game Parlay Card For Denver Broncos vs. Detroit Lions

  • Jahmyr Gibbs 50+ Rushing Yards (-122)
  • Sam LaPorta Anytime Touchdown (+160)
  • Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown (+125)
