Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans Player Prop Picks

On Sunday, the Houston Texans host the Denver Broncos in a game with significant playoff implications. In this article, I’ll break down some of the top player picks for the game that features two teams who have been exceeding expectations as of late. Be sure to use the player prop search tool above to check out the latest odds from a variety of sportsbooks available in your market.

I didn’t like any props in this game enough to make them official picks on my weekly record, but you can check out the Lineups YouTube page for official player prop picks for the Sunday slate. We also have player prop coverage for Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football. However, with this matchup between the Broncos and Texans as a focal point, let’s get to work.

Nico Collins Under 58.5 Receiving Yards (-115 BetMGM)

The Texans have enjoyed a tremendous offensive season thanks to impressive early production from rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud. Houston ranks 3rd in pass offense DVOA and 6th in EPA while Stroud ranks third at the position with 8.4 yards per attempt. However, I see an opportunity to fade Nico Collins, one of the Texans’ top targets, this week.

The Broncos have Patrick Surtain II, arguably the NFL’s best cornerback, patrolling the sideline, and he has shut down some elite wide receivers this season. Surtain has held five of seven receivers who he has shadowed to under 40 yards while Tyreek Hill and D.J. Moore are the only two to go over that number.

Collins has gone over this number in two straight games, but he’s over in just three of his last six games. This is a matchup to fade him in after two strong outings, and I expect Stroud’s targets to go elsewhere with Collins seeing blanket coverage from Surtain on the boundary.

Brevin Jordan Over 24.5 Receiving Yards (-110 DraftKings)

Texans starting tight end Dalton Schultz has been ruled out for this week, so Brevin Jordan will be the team’s starter at the position. Jordan has had a quiet season with just one game over this number, but he has a tremendous opportunity for a breakout game as the Broncos have allowed the most receiving yards per game to tight ends.

Jordan ran a season-high 19 routes last week and he appears to be the leader in the clubhouse to replace Schultz’s production in the offense. With Stroud throwing the ball, that could mean some solid numbers. Jordan’s touchdown prop is priced in the 300s across the board with PointsBet currently offering the best price at +350.

Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown (+190 Caesars)

With a touchdown in seven of his 11 games this season, it’s been difficult to go wrong with a Courtland Sutton touchdown prop. He was held out of the end zone last week against a brutal Browns defense, but he had scored in five straight games and seven of eight games prior to that outing. A bounceback wouldn’t be surprising here.

The Texans have gotten healthier in the secondary, but they do rank 26th in pass defense DVOA. Meanwhile, Houston ranks top five in EPA and success rate against the run, so it could be difficult for Denver to run the ball in the red zone. Sutton shouldn’t be available at +190 odds given his touchdown rate this year, especially in a game with a 47.5-point over/under.
