Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Player Prop Picks
Our favorite Milwaukee Bucks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers player prop picks include Jarrett Allen to record a double-double at -220 odds and Brook Lopez to log three or more blocks at +130 odds.
Jarrett Allen To Record Double-Double (-220)
It is never fun to bet on a player or team that is such a substantial favorite, as it can be quite stressful and doesn’t have as big of a payout as a plus-odds bet; however, we have to find value wherever value is at. That’s the game we are in, gang.
In this case, Jarrett Allen has -220 odds to record a double-double against the Milwaukee Bucks, indicating an implied probability of 68.75%. This means that for us to be profitable, we need Allen to log at least ten points and ten rebounds in seven out of ten games. Luckily for us, he has done this in nine consecutive games, with most of those coming without a sweat.
As a matter of fact, Allen has averaged 18.8 points and 15.1 rebounds in that stretch on a marvelous 65% shooting from the field and 86.7% shooting from the free-throw line (on substantial volume.) Further, the last time that these two teams faced off (December 29, 2023), Allen logged 30 points and 12 rebounds on 15-for-17 shooting from the field.
Considering that Allen is again playing without frontcourt partner Evan Mobley, we can expect him to have a similar scoring output and performance on the glass, especially against a team that is giving up the sixth-most points in the paint and eighth-most second-chance points of any team in the NBA.
This becomes doubly concerning when realizing that Allen is the second-best offensive rebounder in the NBA, behind only Clint Capela. With Allen’s recent play and an incredibly favorable matchup, he has a terrific chance of recording another double-double.
Brook Lopez Over 2.5 Blocks (+130)
All right, fine. Here’s your plus-money bet. We hope you’re happy now.
Lopez has been incredibly effective once again this season as a rim protector, especially in drop coverage, where he can use his defensive instincts, timing, IQ, length, strength, and frame to meet challengers at the summit.
During the 2023-24 campaign, Lopez has averaged three blocks per game and has been particularly impressive recently, recording three or more blocks in five of his past ten games, including a six-block effort against none other than the Cleveland Cavaliers on December 29th. How fitting.
Cleveland has allowed opposing centers to log the eighth-most blocks of any team in the NBA, and based on Jarrett Allen’s 17 field goal attempts in their last matchup, it would not be surprising at all to see Lopez hit this number through the first half of the game.
