Buffalo Bills Analysis
The Buffalo Bills seem to have a playoff spot locked in the AFC with a 9-3 record on the year and a first-place spot in the AFC East. The Bills are coming off of a big offensive win over the San Francisco 49ers last week when they won 34-24. Josh Allen had a huge four-touchdown game for them to lead the way. They will need to bring that same offense on Sunday against one of the toughest defenses in the league.
Josh Allen had a passer rating of 139.1 last weekend against the San Francisco 49ers. He completed 80% of his passes for 375 passing yards and four touchdowns. He connected with Cole Beasley 9 times for 130 yards and one of his touchdowns. Beasley has been having a quietly fantastic season, ranking in the top 20 for receptions and yards this season. The Steelers will be a tough defense to get by all around next week. Specifically against the pass, the Steelers allow the lowest completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks, the second least amount of passing yards per game, and the eighth least passing touchdowns allowed per game.
Last week, the Bills’ run game struggled against the 49ers, as they put up only 71 rushing yards off of 27 team attempts. Two weeks ago, however, the Bills put up 172 team rushing yards on 30 attempts. Devin Singletary, Zack Moss, and Josh Allen lead this team’s run game. But, they will have a tougher time on the ground next week against the Steelers. They allow just a little over 100 rushing yards per game (6th), the third least amount of rushing touchdowns per game, and 4.2 yards per attempt.
The Bills’ defense has been great in the pass rush, where they have a 6.9% sack rate (11th) and have produced the 12th most sacks on the year with 30 sacks. The Bills struggle to defend the run, as they allow 4.7 yards per attempt to their opponents and over 125 rushing yards per game. They also allow the 20th most passing yards per game and a 66.75% completion rate to their opponents. The Bills have a lot of cleaning up to do on the defensive side to let their offense compete.

Pittsburgh Steelers Analysis
The Pittsburgh Steelers had their undefeated record broken last week by the Washington Football Team on Monday night football. They lost 23-17 in a heartbreaker against the then 4-7 Football Team. They will look to get back on track with still the best record in the AFC and the first spot in the playoffs. However, the Bills will be no walk in the park, as they will be just the fourth team with a record over .500 they will see this season.
Ben Roethlisberger had a very impressive game last week against Washington. The Steelers passed the ball 53 times against them because they were without James Conner and Washington has a very good rushing defense. Big Ben put up 305 passing yards along with two passing touchdowns and just one interception. He went through the whole game without getting sacked by one of the better pass-rushing teams in the league. The Bills have a very allowing defense but have a decent secondary that has been better now that everyone is healthy for them. That still does not keep them from allowing 250 passing yards per game (20th) and the 22nd worst completion percentage to opponents. The Steelers should take advantage in both areas of the Bills’ defense.
James Conner has been reactivated from the COVID-19 reserve list. He has missed the last two games due to illness, but he is set to return this weekend. He has a large impact on this offense as the leading rusher for the team. He has not seen the endzone since week 8 of the season against the Baltimore Ravens. He will be looking to get into the endzone in this one against the Bills’ weak rushing defense. They are below average in every rushing defense category this season and will struggle against James Conner.
Obviously, the Steelers’ defense is one of the best defenses in the league and their value to this game is imperative to stop Josh Allen and the Bills’ defense. Luckily, the Steelers have the best pass-rushing squad in the NFL with T.J Watt, Stephon Tuitt, and before he got injured, Bud Dupree. They have combined for 44 sacks this season, which is six more than the second-most in the NFL. Moreover, they have an 8.7% sack rate, which is the third-best rate in the NFL.

Prediction
Spread: Steelers +2.5
Moneyline: Steelers +125
Over/Under: o47
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a 9-3 record ATS this season. However, they are 2-0 in spreads where they are not favored by 0-3 points. The Steelers are coming off of a tough loss, and even while there is controversy over the difficulty of their schedule and the validity of their record, I still believe they are a great team. The Bills will have a tough time on offense and the Steelers should fair well against their defense. I would take the Steelers money line and spread for their value and high probability.
Even while the Steelers have a great defense, they still allowed 23 points to a team like Washington last week. The Bills may exceed that value, along with the Steelers too. I would take the over for this game.

Love/Hate Fantasy Picks
Love
James Conner has averaged 13.4 fantasy points this season and is the 21st ranked running back for fantasy football. While he has been in a bit of a slump over his last three games, he should come back firing on all cylinders this weekend. The Bills allow the ninth-most fantasy points to running backs this season and James Conner will surely take advantage. Conner has projected for 13.65 fantasy points next week.
Hate
Devin Singeltary has put up two weeks with nearly 10 points in each. But, his attempts in the backfield have been eaten away by Zack Moss and Josh Allen and he is no longer a viable player for fantasy. The Steelers have allowed the second least amount of fantasy points to running backs this season. Singletary has rightfully projected 8.5 fantasy points this weekend.
