Chicago Bulls vs. Toronto Raptors Player Prop Picks

Our favorite Chicago Bulls vs. Toronto Raptors player props picks include Zach LaVine to score 19 or fewer points at -115 odds and Alex Caruso to hit two or more three-pointers at -115 odds.

Zach LaVine Under 19.5 Points (-115)

Fire sale, fire sale, fire sale! The Chicago Bulls are looking to blow their team up and sell as many assets as possible by the trade deadline; it is time for a rebuild for their organization.

Zach LaVine falls under the umbrella of “asset to sell.” His name has been thrown around in trade discussions nearly as much as former Raptors players O.G. Anunoby and Pascal Siakam.

LaVine has been sidelined for a large portion of the 2023-24 campaign, missing 17 consecutive games between December 29th and January 4th; he has been back for six games, and his output has not resembled the beginning of this season or the past few seasons.

Besides the first and second games of the season and the game in which LaVine sustained the injury that kept him out for five weeks, he was posting 23.5 points per game on a 48/37/85 shooting split. Since he has returned, his scoring average has plummeted to 16.8 points per game; however, his efficiency has improved.

As a matter of fact, he boasts a 50/40/80 shooting split in his past six games. So, why is his scoring average so low?

The major concerns for LaVine in this spot are motivation and volume; he will be dealt to a new team in the coming weeks, and his 11.8 field goal attempts per game are not conducive to posting 20 points per game.

Chicago is dead-last in pace in the NBA, which equates to fewer possessions and, thus, fewer opportunities for LaVine to score. He has only hit the Over on this number in two of his past six games. We like this spot for him to come up short again.

Alex Caruso Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-115)

Alex Caruso is considered one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, but he can also put the ball through the hoop, especially as a three-point shooter. Caruso has shot 41.5% from behind the arc this season on over four 3PAs per game.

However, he has recently been shooting at a higher volume (5.9 3PAs per game in his past nine outings.) In that span, Caruso has played five more minutes per game, too, which certainly helps our cause in backing this Over. Further, Caruso has hit the Over on this line in seven of those past nine games.

Toronto ranks 26th in opponent 3P%, allowing opponents to knock down 38.5% of their attempts. The Raptors also allow the sixth-most three-pointers made to opposing shooting guards, which is bound to continue with a new-look Raptors team still trying to piece things together.
