This pivotal NFC South matchup between the Saints and Panthers is extremely important for the Panthers. They sit at 5-5 and a win over the Saints could keep their playoff hopes alive. Kyle Allen has not performed well at all for the last few games, but if he plays like he was playing earlier this season, the Panthers have a good shot at winning this game. The Saints have shown that they can lose to bad teams, as they lost to the Falcons two weeks ago. However, the Saints are still Super Bowl contenders and are favored to win this game by 6 points. Carolina Panthers Analysis

Carolina PanthersThough Kyle Allen poorly last game, this Panthers offense still has several players that are relevant for fantasy football. When the Panthers scored only 3 points last week, DJ Moore and Christian McCaffrey still had great games. McCaffrey had 70 rushing yards and 11 receptions for 121 yards. He is averaging 32.4 PPR fantasy points per game and is the number one ranked fantasy running back. Though the Saints defense ranks 3rd in fantasy points allowed to running backs, McCaffrey will still have a great game because he gets a high volume of touches.

DJ Moore has also been extremely productive recently. In five of his past six games, Moore has had 15+ fantasy points. He also has had 10+ targets over the last three games. The Saints defense ranks 12th in fantasy points allowed to receivers, but Moore should still have a good game. He had 90+ yards against the Packers and Titans defenses, so he should continue to do well against the Saints. Also, Greg Olsen is a pretty good option this week. He has had 5+ targets over the last three games and 10+ fantasy points in the last two games. He has a decent matchup against the Saints defense and could have another great game this week.

New Orleans Saints Analysis

New Orleans SaintsMichael Thomas has been the only consistently productive receiver on the Saints offense. He has not had less than 15 PPR fantasy points this season and is averaging 25.5 fantasy points per game. Thomas seemingly always does well, even when the Saints offense does not do well as a whole. The Panthers defense ranks 23rd in fantasy points allowed to receivers and will probably not be able to stop Thomas this week. As the only consistent receiver on the Saints team, he will get a lot of targets and should comfortably have 10+ receptions and 100+ yards.

The running back situation for the Saints is more interesting though. Latavius Murray had 10 carries last week while Alvin Kamara had 13 carries. Murray got a lot of garbage time carries last week, which takes some production away from Kamara. That being said, Kamara is still the clear RB1 In the Saints offense. Kamara is much more involved in the passing game, as he caught 10 receptions for 47 yards last week. As the lead back for the Saints, Kamara should have a great game against a Panthers defense that ranks 29th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. This makes Kamara a great start for this week because he should get a lot of carries and a lot of receptions.

WR2: Ted Ginn
WR3: Austin Carr

Daily Fantasy: DJ Moore Has Excellent Value

DJ Moore (DK: $6,400, FD: $6,400) is the best value option this week. He has consistently performed well over the last few weeks and is a great pick at his salary. Christian McCaffrey (DK: $10,500, FD: $10,500) and Michael Thomas (DK: $9,300, FD: $9,200) are also great options, but they both have the highest salaries for their positions. They will definitely do well, but they may not be worth what they cost. Alvin Kamara (DK: $8,200, FD: $8,300) is also a great option, but he is also extremely expensive. These three other players are very expensive, and Moore is the only solid cheap option in this matchup.
