Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Matchup Preview (11/29/20): Betting Odds, Depth Charts, Live Stream (Watch Online)

The Bears are in a free fall and that will likely continue as they head to Green Bay and face the Packers. Aaron Rodgers and company are coming off a loss against the Colts and are in a great spot to rebound at home. Chicago has finally hit their part of the schedule that was supposed to give them trouble and that has been the case. Offensively they have been bottom-five this season while the defense has made them competitive most weeks. Chicago will go back to Mitchell Trubisky this week, as Nick Foles is unable to go. He was replaced earlier this season but neither quarterback has been that great.  As for the Packers, they are getting healthier as well with Jaire Alexander and Allen Lazard back, which will help on both sides. Chicago Bears Analysis

Chicago BearsWith Mitchell Trubisky starting this week, there certainly isn’t a lot of confidence for the Bears offense to improve. In his four games, he hs 560 yards and six touchdowns, while throwing three interceptions. Nick Foles wasn’t doing much better, and he will miss the week through injury. Despite the horrendous quarterback play every year, Allen Robinson continues to produce. He has a 63-755-3 line over ten games this season. Anthony Miller and Darnell Mooney have split targets behind him. David Montgomery can return this week and he has struggled this season but the workload has been there. He has 472 yards in nine games on a 3.6 yards per carry. With no other real running back behind him, this will be his role the rest of the way. As mentioned below the Bears defense can certainly keep them in games. They are only scoring 19 points per game but have allowed 19 points per game as well. They have allowed just 225 yards per game through the air and 4.0 yards per carry.

Green Bay Packers Analysis

Green Bay PackersGreen Bay is putting up 30 points per game this season but will have a tough task against the Bears defense. It has been an effort on all fronts, as they have averaged 116 rushing yards per game and have thrown 277 per game. Rodgers has been excellent this season with 29 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. The Packers defense is still solid against the pass, but against the run they are still allowing 4.4 yards per carry and 11 touchdowns on the season. Aaron Jones has had a few games where he missed but has averaged 67 rushing yards per game and six touchdowns. He is averaging 4.7 yards per carry on the season. Jamaal Williams has been a great backup as usual with over 300 yards on the ground and 200+ yards through the air. It has been a hodgepodge of receivers outside of Davante Adams to fill in for a lack of potions. Allen Lazard is due back this week, which is a plus for the Packers offense.

Betting Corner: Packers -9.5

Spread: GB  -9.5
Moneyline: CHI +325 / GB -450
Over/Under: 43.5

This is a tricky game if the Bears defense can keep this one close because a near ten-point spread is still a lot facing a heavy defensive team like the Bears, especially if they can get some reliable production out of the ground game. I think this will be a low scoring affair regardless and the under has been favorable in most Bears games due to their offense struggling and them being able to limit opposing offenses. In the past three games, the under is 3-0 and

Daily Fantasy Picks

This is a game that is in the Showdown side of things or maybe a week-long slate. It isn’t particularly a great game for fantasy given the Bears offense has been struggling all year to move the ball, while the Packers also have a pretty good run defense. If this game stays close, the Bears will be run-heavy against a Packers run defense that still struggles. You can make the case for a returning David Montgomery but even in good spots he has struggled. Allen Robinson is the main option in the passing attack and if this game gets out of hand for Green Bay, both him, Mooney, and Miller can have some upside just off sheer volume alone. As for the Packers, the Bears are a good defense but Aaron Jones and Davante Adams continue to smash regardless.
