Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals Player Prop Picks
In this Week 18 Browns-Bengals matchup, the stakes will be low and the variance will be high. The Browns have locked up the #5 seed in the AFC, so they’ll be resting multiple starters in this game, while it’s tough to get a handle on the Bengals these days with Jake Browning starting over Joe Burrow. Ultimately, that means there should be some strong opportunities in the player prop markets.
Unfortunately, as I’m writing this on Saturday night, we still don’t have player props posted for this game. I’m therefore focusing on the touchdown markets here and highlight some players who I think have some interesting opportunities overall in this game. Hopefully, my comments here can help you make decisions on props once they get posted on Sunday morning. Let’s get to work.
Pierre Strong Jr. Anytime Touchdown (+300 PointsBet)
The Browns are sitting several starters in this game, and while we don’t have official word on it yet, I’d expect that to extend to Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt. Therefore, Pierre Strong should have an excellent opportunity for production in this game. He’s looked awesome in his limited opportunities this season, ranking 11th in yards after contact per attempt among 66 qualified running backs.
A fourth-round pick in 2022, the South Dakota State product has never officially started a game, but this could be his first opportunity. It would be a tremendous one as the Bengals rank 29th in run defense success rate this season and have been horrendous at containing opposing running backs. Keep your eyes peeled for rushing yardage and attempts props for Strong, but a touchdown prop is a great place to start at +300 on PointsBet.
Cedric Tillman Anytime Touchdown (+425 DraftKings)
Cedric Tillman is another player who should see an excellent opportunity to produce for the Browns this week. Amari Cooper has already been ruled out for the game while Elijah Moore could also miss as he’s been in concussion protocol all week. Tillman has been quiet all season with just 18 catches for 181 yards this year, but he’s been on the field plenty with 30+ routes run in seven of his last eight games.
Tillman was a big-bodied red zone threat at Tennessee, and he scored 12 touchdowns in 2021 before injuries hampered his junior season. With cornerback Chidobe Awuzie likely out this week, Tillman could see a lot of coverage from rookie corner D.J. Turner II, who ranks 121st out of 133 qualified cornerbacks in PFF coverage grades. Look for his receiving props on Sunday morning.
Andrei Iosivas Anytime Touchdown (+550 DraftKings)
It sounds like Tee Higgins will miss this game for the Bengals after suffering a hamstring injury last week, and if he does, Andrei Iosivas will see a great opportunity. In his one start this season in Week 16, he saw an impressive eight targets and 34% air yard share as he finished with four catches for 36 yards. That’s modest production, but it’s a start.
Iosivas has an awesome athletic profile as the Princeton product stands 6’3”, 208 lbs and ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash last spring. In his junior season at Princeton, Iosivas caught 64 passes for 924 yards and seven touchdowns. Higgins and Tyler Boyd are free agents after this season, and this would be a tremendous evaluation opportunity for the Bengals to see what they have in their rookie wideout.
