Dallas Cowboys Vs. Los Angeles Chargers NFL Same Game Parlay (10/16/23)

The Dallas Cowboys face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football in what should be a fun game. In this article, find a Same Game Parlay featuring Austin Ekeler, Quentin Johnston, and Tony Pollard.

Dallas Cowboys Vs. Los Angeles Chargers Same Game Parlay Picks

In this matchup between the Cowboys and Chargers, we’re looking at a tight spread with a high total. The Cowboys are 2.5-point road underdogs with a points total of 51.5. That sets up for an exciting, high-scoring affair, and we’ll focus on that being the case with our Same Game Parlay. I’m creating this SGP on DraftKings Sportsbook, but different books will offer different odds. Let’s get to work.

Leg 1: Quentin Johnston 50+ Receiving Yards (+195)

The Chargers are running out of healthy wide receivers. Mike Williams is out for the season while Josh Palmer was a late add to the injury report – it would be surprising if he plays. Rookie first-round pick Quentin Johnston hasn’t had a full scale breakout to this point, but Monday night feels like the night.

The Cowboys haven’t been the same pass defense since losing Trevon Diggs to a season-ending ACL injury. Johnston hasn’t come close to 50 yards this season, but his opportunity is about to change dramatically. As the WR2 for Justin Herbert in this type of game environment, I love the rookie’s upside.

Leg 2: Quentin Johnston Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+195)

Kellen Moore, the Chargers’ new offensive coordinator, came over from Dallas, and it’s clear how much his coaching impacts red zone scoring. The Chargers have jumped from 18th in red zone touchdown rate to 5th while the Cowboys have dropped from first to 28th.

Moore will likely be scheming up plays for Quentin Johnston here coming out of the bye week, especially with the limited proven options at wide receiver. Johnston has yet to score this season, but he scored six touchdowns at TCU last season. His elite YAC ability makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the field.

Leg 3: Los Angeles Chargers Moneyline (+100)

The arrival of Kellen Moore in Los Angeles has already lifted their offense, and coming out of the bye week, I expect more wrinkles in the offense for the Cowboys to deal with. Additionally, Brandon Staley might not be the best game manager as a head coach, but I expect a strong defensive scheme off the bye.

The Chargers also have a sizable quarterback edge in this primetime game with Justin Herbert over Dak Prescott. I don’t expect Prescott to be as bad as he was on Sunday Night Football against the 49ers, but I’d still give Herbert the edge. I love getting him at home as an underdog against an overrated Cowboys team.
