Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz Preview
The Dallas Mavericks (26 -32) will travel to Salt Lake and take on the Utah Jazz (32-26) tonight at Vivint. Both teams played last night and suffered losses. The Mavericks lost to Denver 114-104 at home, while the Jazz lost in double overtime to the Thunder.
In the latter game, Paul George was able to cut through two Utah defenders, and loft a high arching shot over 7-foot-1 Rudy Gobert. The shot went in with less than a second left in the game allowing the Thunder went to win 148-147. That made OKC 3-0 against Utah on the season, but the Jazz are 2-1 against Dallas this season. Even though the Mavs destroyed them 118-68 last time they played on November 18.
The Mavericks have lost three in a row and are on the outside looking in at the playoffs. Luka Doncic sat out last night and will be a game time decision due to his sore ankle. With both teams playing hard fought games last night, the one that is less exhausted tonight will most likely be the winner. Both teams also had to deal with travel today as Dallas played home last night while the Jazz will be traveling back from OKC.
