Edmonton Oilers Vs. Carolina Hurricanes Picks & Prediction

Edmonton is scoring 3.3 goals per game, ninth in the league and taking 33.5 shots per game, ninth overall.  The five-time Stanley Cup champions, have the two top scorers in the league (McDavid and Draisaitl), but only have two other players to score over 30 points.  Defensively the Oilers are allowing 3.3 goals per game, ranked 23rd overall and 31.8 shots per game, 18th in the league.  Carolina is scoring 3.5 goals per game, ranking them sixth in the NHL and attempting 33.3 shots per game, tenth overall.  On the defensive side, the Hurricanes are allowing 2.4 goals per game which is first in the NHL and yielding 28.7 shots a game, second overall.  As a team they have four shutouts in 2021-22.  I’m going with the home team Hurricanes to win this game with under 6.5 combined goals scored in this contest.
