Florida Panthers Vs. New York Rangers Picks & Prediction

Florida is scoring 4.1 goals per game, which is second in the league and taking 36.6 shots per game which is tops in the NHL.  Per NHL.com, the Panthers’ 75 goals in January are the most by any NHL team in a calendar month in the last 25 seasons.  Defensively Florida is allowing 2.8 goals per game, ranked 15th overall.  New York is scoring three goals per game, ranking them 16th in the NHL and attempting 28.3 shots per game, 30thoverall.  On the defensive side, the Rangers are allowing 2.6 goals per game which ranks fourth in the NHL.  New York has won six out of seven games at home and have earned a point in 16 of their 20 home games this season.  Florida is arguably playing the best hockey out of any team in the NHL.  I like the Panthers to go on the road and beat the Rangers; the teams with go over 6.5 combined goals.
