Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers Preview
In a Pacific Division matchup tonight, the Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Golden State Warriors. In their first matchup in the regular-season series, the Clippers topped the Warriors 141-122. Lou Williams had 22 points, and the Warriors were led by Stephen Curry, who was still healthy at the time, with 23 points.
Since losing Curry, the Warriors have been cellar dwellers in the Western Conference. They have a 9-30 record and have lost their last six games. They are 4-6 in their last 10 games and have a road record of 3-17.
The Clippers once had the top record in the West, but they are currently in third place with a 26-12 record. They won their last game, but are 6-4 in their last 10 games. At home at Staples Center, the Clippers have been 16-4. The Clippers will be without Paul George tonight, but the Warriors have their own injuries to deal with.

Warriors Analysis
After losing to the Sacramento Kings 111-98 on Monday, they seemed to be challenging the league’s best Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night, but a second-quarter offensive collapse put them ina hole they just couldn’t dig themselves out of as they went on to lose 107-98.
“Our pace was not great in the first half and it picked up in the second half,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “I thought we were a little tentative in the first half. They’re a great team, obviously the best team in the league and the best defense in the league.”
The Warriors, who were once known as a high-scoring offense, have not looked like the same juggernaut with Curry and Klay Thompson out. They managed just 39 points in the first half.
Alec Burks led the Warriors in scoring with 19 points off the bench. Glenn Robinson III and Damion Lee scored 15. While Draymond Green is still providing nice rebound and assist numbers, he is not quite the scoring threat without getting open looks when teams would double on the Splash Bros. Green had five points, eight rebounds and eight assists in the loss.
D’Angelo Russell missed the game and he is questionable for tonight.

Clippers Analysis
The Los Angeles Clippers have been having some problems with consistency lately. last Saturday, they got blown out 140-114 by the Memphis Grizzlies, as four Memphis starters scored 22 or more points. If not for a high-scoring second quarter, they were on the verge of losing against the New York Knicks on Sunday. They secured the win 135-132.
“Just being mentally tough and just making sure everybody’s on the same page,” Lou Williams. “As far as our bodies go, we just gotta do a good job of taking care of our bodies, managing your minutes, managing the things that you do off the court and be ready to go on game days. We got about four weeks left before we get another break, so we just gotta get through it and be the best we can.”
The Knicks got out to an early 45-29 lead in the first quarter, but they turned the tables in the second quarter, scoring 47 to New York’s 24. It was a see-saw battle the rest of the way through, but the Clippers were able to eke out the win, even as Marcus Morris went off for 38 points.
George played in the game but Kawhi Leonard was out. Tonight Leonard is expected to play and George is going to be out. Luckily for the Clippers, their super subs, Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams were responsible for 66 points off the bench.

Key Player Matchups
Kawhi Leonard vs. Glenn Robinson III
Robinson has raised his averages in the last 10 games, but Leonard is on another stratosphere. Even when Leonard is minutes restricted, he finds a way to make a big contribution.
Patrick Beverley vs. D’Angelo Russell
If Russell plays, this could turn out to be the better of the two lineups tonight. Beverley is a capable scorer, but he really excels on defense and it’s something he prides himself on. Russell will be ready to push Beverley and take on the challenge. When he’s healthy, he has played well. If he does not play, it’ll likely be Ky Bowman starting in his place and Beverley will have a huge advantage there.
Daily Fantasy
Kawhi Leonard is really the only real fantasy standout in this matchup. He is available for $9.9k on FanDiel with a projection of 43.8 points.
Glenn Robinson III is a solid value addition. He is available for just $4.5k and is expected to finish with 24.5 fantasy points tonight.
