Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Preview
Denver is coming off a hard-fought win against Portland and currently has a half-game lead on Golden State for first place in the Western Conference. The Warriors come into mile high rolling with a four-game winning streak and are looking to take a half-game lead on the Nuggets.
This is the second of four meetings that these teams are scheduled for this year. The first was on October 21st and was also played in Denver. In that game, Juancho Hernangomez blocked a game-tying layup from behind right as the game clock hit zeros. The Nuggets were able to hold off the Warriors for a 100-98 win.

Golden State Warriors Starting Lineup
The Golden State Warriors last played Sunday in Dallas, where Steph Curry and his 48 points led them to a 119-114 win. On Tuesday night, they will be going for their fifth win in a row and seventh win in their last eight games
Offensively, Golden State is second in the league with an average of 117.4 points per game but are 20th in the league defensively. They have given up an average of 111.7 points on the season and just gave up 114 to a bad Mavericks team. With first place up for grabs, everyone will definitely be more motivated to step up on defense.
Curry’s 48 was the most against Dallas but Durant added 28 points and Klay Thompson had nine of his 16 in the fourth quarter. The Warriors got worked pretty good defensively by a Dallas team playing without its top two point guards, Dennis Smith Jr. and Barea.
Denver Nuggets Starting Lineup
On Sunday, The Nuggets beat the Trail Blazers 116-113. Nikola Jokic put up a season-high 40 points and played physical with a ton of energy. Jamal Murray fought through a bloody lip to add 24 and the Denver Nuggets beat the Portland Trail Blazers 116-113 on Sunday night.
What’s interesting about these teams who currently lead the Western Conference, is that they are winning in opposite ways of each other. The Nuggets are one of the best defensive teams in the league, holding opponents to 105.5 points per game. However, they are 18th in the league offensively averaging 110.4 points per game. In their last game, they gave up 113 points to Portland.
But like the Warriors, The Nuggets will also be more motivated in this game defensively. They would love to continue to show Golden State that there is a new sheriff in town. Beating them at home twice would certainly be huge.
Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Betting Odds
Golden State is a slight 1.5 favorite on the road, with the over/under being 228 points.
Golden State is a modest 12-8 at home and 26-10 as the favorite. Denver is an astounding 18-3 at home and 9-31 as the underdog.
