Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets 01/03/19: Starting Lineups, Matchup Breakdown, Odds, Daily Fantasy, Betting
Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets Preview
It’s a rather light night in the Association tonight, but aside from the Spurs-Raptors game, the NBA Gods have also given us this game, between the Golden State Warriors (25-13) and the red-hot Houston Rockets (21-15).
The Warriors are entering tonight’s game on a two-game win streak, but have only won six of their last 10. However, Golden State has lost very few games at the Oracle, with a 15-5 record at home.
Houston has won their last five and have done it without Chris Paul. They are winners of nine of their last 10.
The last time these two teams squared off was on November 15. Houston routed Golden State 107-86 behind 27 points from James Harden. While the Warriors may be looking to avenge their loss, you can bet losing in the Western Conference Finals last season to the Warriors is still fresh on Houston’s mind.
Time: 10:30pm ET
Arena: Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA
Golden State Warriors Starting Lineup
After losing two consecutive games, the Warriors have won their last two against the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns. Klay Thompson seems to have busted his shooting slump, Curry and Durant are doing Curry and Durant things and while Draymond Green has struggled from time to time, the Warriors are finally starting to look a bit more like themselves.
They’re expected to finally have the debut of DeMarcus Cousins later this month, which should make them even more dangerous. The Warriors have shown some cracks in the foundation, and while their last two wins are a good sign, they have a legitimate challenge in front of them tonight in Houston.
Houston Rockets Starting Lineup
The Rockets owe most of their recent success to their superstar, James Harden. Harden has played MVP-caliber basketball with the losses of Paul and Eric Gordon and has more than kept Houston afloat
In their 1113-101 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Harden finished with a triple-double, with 43 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds.
While the Rockets would be in some serious trouble without Harden, other players, like Danuel House, Austin Rivers and Gerald Green have been stepping up, and Clint Capela has been solid as ever, finishing with 19 points and 13 rebounds against Memphis.
A team that looked like they might not even make it into the playoffs at this time last month, is looking like a serious threat now.
Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets Betting Odds

The Warriors are 148-28 at home and 259-62 as the favorite. Houston is 87-68 on the road and 28-47 as the underdog.
