This matchup between two top NFC teams should be a great game. Both teams are in similar situations coming into week 5. They both were 3-0 and lost close games in week 4. The main difference between these two teams is their strength of schedule. While the Cowboys have won 3 games, those wins were against the Giants, Redskins, and Dolphins–all bad teams. The Packers’ wins came against the Bears, Vikings, and Broncos. The Bears and Vikings are both good teams, and beating those teams is an impressive feat. The Cowboys are projected to win this game by 3.5 points, so it should be a very close game between these two division leaders. Green Bay Packers Analysis
The biggest issue for the Packers this week is that Davante Adams is injured. He is their best playmaker on offense and his presence will surely be missed in this matchup against the Cowboys. The Cowboys defense is very good, so it will be hard for the Packers offense against them. Against the Eagles last week, Adams had 10 receptions for 180 yards. He is clearly the top target on the Packers offense and his absence greatly decreases the Packers’ chance to win this game.
Without Adams, the Packers offense will not do too well. The Cowboys allowed 9 receptions for 95 yards to Michael Thomas last week, which is pretty good against one of the best receivers in the league. Also, the Cowboys have not really allowed much yardage to receivers though, as they rank 5th in fantasy points allowed to receivers. Do not expect Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Geronimo Allison to have big games in Adams’ absence. They are facing a top defense that has locked down many good receivers.
As for the rest of the Packers offense, I would not expect a great game out of any players. The Cowboys rank 5th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks and 9th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. This is not a good matchup for the Packers offense on paper, so it would probably be best to avoid starting any Packers players this week.

Dallas Cowboys Analysis
This matchup does not look good for the Cowboys offense as well. The Packers rank 2nd in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks and 1st in fantasy points allowed to receivers. Even though Dak Prescott looked very good in the first three weeks of football, the Cowboys were facing very bad defenses. Once the Cowboys faced the Saints defense last week, Prescott did not play well, throwing for only 223 yards and an interception. The Packers also have a top defense, so Prescott will probably not play well this week also.
As for Amari Cooper, he had a quiet game against the Saints after starting the year with 4 touchdowns in 3 games. With only 5 receptions for 48 yards last week, Cooper had a forgettable week 4 performance. He simply could not produce against a top defense and he will likely not produce this week against the Packers defense.
The only offensive player that is worth starting for fantasy football is Ezekiel Elliott. The Packers rank 30th in fantasy points allowed to running backs. Last week, they allowed 115 total yards and 3 touchdowns to Jordan Howard. Elliott is one of the best running backs in the league, and he should do pretty well in this matchup. Even in last week’s tough matchup against the Saints, Elliott had 17.5 PPR fantasy points. In bad matchups, Elliott does well, so he should feast in this favorable matchup against the Packers.
