Green Bay Packers Analysis
The Green Bay Packers are sitting nicely in the NFC with an easy win in their division and a one-game gap in the conference. Last week, the Packers beat the Carolina Panthers in the first round of Saturday NFL games. They went up 21-3 on them in the first half and mainly coasted on their defense to secure the win. They would extend their chances of reaching the NFC first seed if they were to secure a win this weekend.
Aaron Rodgers did not have to do too much in this game to secure the win. He put up 143 passing yards and two total touchdowns in this one to get away with the win. However, Green Bay did allow five sacks in this game to Rodgers. This is a bit confusing, considering they have allowed just 19 sacks all season. Luckily for them, the Titans have produced the least amount of sacks to their opponents compared to the rest of the NFL. Rodgers leads an offense that averages nearly 30 points per game and will be facing the Titans’ below-average defense.
Aaron Jones and the run game popped off against the Carolina Panthers’ below average rushing defense. Jones ran the ball 20 times for 145 rushing yards and one touchdown. That gave him an elite 7.3 yards per attempt average. Rodgers also ran for 26 yards and one touchdown in this game to add to the outing. Tennessee has a middle of the pack rushing defense that highlights the fact that they allow just 4.3 yards per attempt. The defensive line is not the problem, but Jayon Brown and the secondary certainly can be.
The Packers’ defense allows just 24.2 points per game to their opponents and the 12th least amount of yards per game. The defense highlights the fact that they can defend the pass extremely well, but they struggle against the run. They allow 4.5 yards per carry and at least one rushing touchdown per game. They will want to focus on containing Derrick Henry while allowing their secondary to take care of the Titans’ passing offense.

Tennessee Titans Analysis
Last week, the Tennessee Titans beat up the Detroit Lions by putting up 46 points on them in the game. The Titans are holding on tightly to the division lead in the AFC South over the Indianapolis Colts. A win next week would surely guarantee at least their spot in the AFC playoffs. The Titans will be following the reigns of Derrick Henry to carry them past the Packers’ terrible rushing defense.
Last week, Ryan Tannehill led the way for the Titans by putting up 5 total touchdowns. He connected with his duo of Corey Davis and A.J Brown for two of his touchdowns and throwing for 273 yards. Moreover, he ran the ball three times for 21 yards to secure two more rushing touchdowns. Tannehill had his fun beating up on the Detroit Lions, but the Green Bay Packers will certainly offer a challenge. They have allowed just a 64.53% completion percentage, and rank in the top ten for least allowed passing yards and passing touchdowns allowed to their opponents.
Derrick Henry leads the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns at the moment and has been carrying the Titans offense along with Tannehill. Last week, Henry ran the ball 24 times for 147 rushing yards and one touchdown against the Lions. While Green Bay struggles more in the run game, they still allow the tenth least amount of rushing yards per game this season.
The Titans’ defense could be helping them out a lot more this season, and they will need to against one of the best offenses in the league. They allow 25.8 points per game, which is a below-average value in the NFL. They allow the fourth-most passing yards per game and the fifth most passing touchdowns per game in the NFL. This is not a great look when you are facing off against Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers have many skill players they need to look out for this weekend.

Prediction
Spread: Packers -3
Moneyline: Packers -182
Over/Under: o55.5
The Green Bay Packers have one of the most productive offenses in the league and have a very decent defense to back them up. Sadly, while the Titans have just as good an offense as the Packers, their defense lacks quite a bit. The Titans could realistically win this game in any fashion, but I think the Packers will hold them off. Considering the Packers have a much better record ATS too, I choose them for the spread and money line picks.
Both of these teams are just two of three teams in the NFL to average more than 30 points per game. It will be close, but I really like the over for this game.

Love/Hate Fantasy Picks
Love
Allen Lazard has been stagnant in the past few outing, only having two double-digit performances in the last five weeks. However, I expect that to change against the Titans. The Titans allow the seventh-most points to wide receivers and quarterbacks this season. Plus, a lot of attention will be drawn to Aaron Jones and Davante Adams. I think Lazard will thrive in this game and he has projected 9.4 points.
Hate
Jonnu Smith has been very inconsistent this season at the tight end spot, and I think that inconsistency will remain next weekend. The Packers allow the seventh least amount of points to tight ends this season, and Jonnu is not worth the start. He has projected 8.25 points next week.
