Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards Player Prop Picks
Our favorite Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards player prop picks are Clint Capela to record 12 or more rebounds at -170 odds and Bogdan Bogdanovic to hit four or more three-pointers at -105.
Clint Capela To Record 12+ Rebounds (-170)
Clint Capela has a favorable matchup this Sunday afternoon when the Atlanta Hawks face off against the Washington Wizards; he has recorded at least 12 rebounds in eight of his past 16 games against Washington and in two of his past three games overall.
Capela’s minutes have been solid and consistent for the most part, too, playing 27 or more minutes in eight of his past outings, which is conducive to him pulling down double-digit rebounds.
Washington has the worst rebounding frontcourt in the NBA, allowing a total of nearly 19 rebounds per game to opposing centers (starters and bench players combined), which is the most in the NBA.
Further, the Wizards are dead last in the NBA in defensive rebounding percentage for the 2023-24 regular season; they also have the worst defensive rebounding percentage at home, which is two percent worse than the next closest team.
Capela averages the most offensive rebounds per game in the NBA, pulling down five of them per game. His rebounding prowess will only be accentuated by the weakest and smallest frontcourt in the Eastern Conference.
Don’t be shocked if he nearly reaches double-digit offensive rebounds, let alone total rebounds. His rebounding numbers will be huge, especially with this Wizards offense likely to chuck up a lot of misses.
Bogdan Bogdanovic Over 3.5 Threes (-105)
Volume is a significant variable in determining the viability of a three-point prop. For example, if a player’s line is at 1.5 (-110), but he has only taken four three-pointers in his past three games, it is challenging to see the value in that, even if he has been shooting well.
However, that is simply not the case for Bogdan Bogdanovic, who might be in a bit of a shooting slump but has not been shy about shooting when he is open (and not open at times, too.) As a matter of fact, Bogdanovic has shot an eye-popping 12 three-point attempts per game in his past four games, which is terrific volume, especially for a career 39% shooter from behind the arc.
While Bogdanovic has only hit the Over on this line in one of his past four games, he has a terrific matchup; he will be facing the horrendous Washington Wizards, who have not played a lick of defense all season.
In their past three games, the Wizards have allowed opponents to shoot 39% from deep, which is right around their season average of 37.5%. Jordan Poole and Landry Shamet are likely to be the two primary defenders on Bogdan for the majority of the game, which can only mean good things for the elite movement shooter.
