Houston Rockets at Sacramento Kings 4/2/19: Starting Lineups, Matchup Preview, Betting Odds
Houston Rockets at Sacramento Kings Preview
The Sacramento Kings may be out of the playoff picture, but don’t expect them to stop being competitive as they face a stiff challenge in the visiting Houston Rockets tonight. The Kings played spoiler to the San Antonio Spurs recently and they’d like nothing more than to end their season on a good run against some of the Western Conference’s best.
The Rockets are 49-28 on the season and are tied with the Portland Trail Blazers for third place in the West. They’ve won their last two games and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Kings are 38-39 on the season and they look to end the season in ninth place in the West. The Kings won their last game and are 5-5 in their last 10.
In their last matchup just days ago on March 30, the Rockets emerged victorious with a 119-108 win as James Harden finished with 50 points and 10 assists. The Kings were led by Bogdan Bogdanovic’s 24 points.

Rockets Analysis
The Houston Rockets have won four of their last five games and seem to have locked up home-court advantage at least through the first round of the playoffs, but don’t expect the Rockets to take tonight’s opponent, the Sacramento Kings, lightly especially after it took a big effort to get past the Kings in Houston on Saturday night.
“They’ve got some young kids that can go,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said. “Fox, Bagley, Hield, and Bogdanovic – I didn’t think they were ever going to miss. They’re playing (well). It’ll be a tough game on Tuesday, obviously.”
The Rockets have won four of their last five and seem to be getting on the same page as they approach the postseason.
In Saturday’s win, James Harden had a triple-double with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Clint Capela had 24 points and 15 rebounds and Chris Paul contributed 22 points.

Kings Analysis
The Kings have been up and down lately, but there’s definitely a lot to be excited about if you’re a Kings fan following this young group.
“Right now it’s not in our favor, and maybe next year it’ll be in our favor,” Kings swingman Buddy Hield said. “It’s like life. You’re never going to get it how you want it. You always go through ups and downs, and right now this is a down.”
Among the ups for the Kings lately was a 113-106 win on Sunday over the San Antonio Spurs. The Kings had seven players score in double figures, led by Hield, who finished with 26 points. Willie Cauley-Stein had 17 points and Harrison Barnes scored 15. Off the bench, Bogdan Bogdanovic had 15 and Yogi Ferrell added 10 points.
The Kings were outscored in the first quarter but proceeded to outscore the Spurs in the next three quarters.
