Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Matchup Preview (11/29/20): Betting Odds, Depth Charts, Live Stream (Watch Online)

This is certainly the game of the week as Patrick Mahomes travels to Tampa to face Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Tampa is coming off a loss and we have seen a real trend for beating the Bucs and that is getting pressure on Brady. The Chiefs can certainly do that. Not many teams have been able to run on the Buccaneers defense but having Patrick Mahomes, you don’t need to run. Both defenses are above average and have a lot of playmakers but Vegas is looking at this game to be a high-scoring one. We will see so many receivers out there that have the potential for big plays and big games. This will be an entertaining one. Kansas City Chiefs Analysis

Kansas City ChiefsKansas City has put up big numbers as you’d expect. Patrick Mahomes has averaged 322.2 passing yards per game this season and has 27 touchdowns. He faces a solid Tampa defense but this is still no match for this offense. Travis Kelce has been amazing, averaging 99 yards per game and his touchdown numbers are way up from his career norm. He has seven already. Speaking of touchdowns, Tyreek Hill has ten of his own and is averaging 75.2 yards per game. The rest of the receiving core has been up and down with snaps, both Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson combining for 600 yards and five scores. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is quietly putting together a strong season with 800+ all-purpose yards and five touchdowns heading into the eek. Bell has yet to really cut into his workload. Defensively the Chiefs have held teams to 19.5 points per game which isn’t being talked about enough. They have held teams to 221 passing yards per game and if you want to beat them it’s on the ground. That has been the case even dating back to last year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Analysis

Tampa Bay BuccaneersTampa Bay has improved their defense this season, especially against the pass. Opposing quarterbacks are averaging just 237 yards per game and have 20 touchdowns with 14 interceptions. Good luck running on thems till as they have allowed 3.2 yards per carry and 73 yards per game. While they are not getting a ton of rushing production that is consistent each week, they have improved there. Adding Tom Brady has had its up and downs, but from a clean pocket the offense is fine. He has 25 touchdowns on the year but is headed for double-digit interceptions. It has been a relatively spread out production for the Bucs. Nobody has over 600 receiving yards yet but the one area of difference is Mike Evans with nine touchdowns. Antonio Brown has come in with 26 targets in three games and has caught 18 of them for 26 yards. He is being utilized in a short-yardage role. Ronald Jones has been the best back this season, averaging 4.9 yards per attempt compared to Fournette’s 4.0.

I am all about the Chiefs spread this week as they are 16-4 ATS in their last 20 games. Kansas City is just too potent of an offense to fade in this one against an up and coming pass defense in Tampa that is still not quite at the level of competition in these types of games. The Chiefs can also put some pressure on Tom Brady and that has been where they have struggled all year long.

Daily Fantasy Picks

There is certainly a lot of daily fantasy potential in this game but the tricky part is that there are so many options that it will be tough to get it perfect in a stack. Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill are generally the safe plays from the Chiefs side and they are in good spots this week because I rather attack the Buccaneers through the air compared to with the running back. I don’t have a ton of interest in the running backs this week in such a tough spot. If you are building 150 lineups then it is a different story but many of you are not doing that. Patrick Mahomes is a strong pay up option especially if the Chiefs do struggle on the ground. On the Buccaneers side, you can run on the Chiefs but if the Bucs struggle to defend the Chiefs, they won’t use them much and throw to the air. Antonio Brown has seen a ton of targets and I like him quite a bit on DK. The rest of the receivers are a little riskier because their upside varies week to week.
