Lamar Jackson Player Prop Picks
We’re about to learn a lot about the new Todd Monken Ravens offense this week. Cleveland’s defense is the best in the NFL per DVOA and EPA, and they specifically built it to stop Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow in the AFC North. With that in mind, these Jackson props are fascinating.
Be sure to use the player prop search tool above to get the best odds for whichever player props you select. Odds can vary significantly across different sportsbooks, and that always adds up in the long run. Let’s get to work.
Lamar Jackson Under 203.5 Passing Yards (-115 BetMGM)
We’re getting straight into it and fading Lamar Jackson’s passing production in this brutal matchup. He has gone under this number in two straight games and five of his nine games overall this season. This is the toughest defense he’s played all year. The Browns rank first in pass defense DVOA, EPA and success rate.
Cleveland has held five of its eight opposing passers under 200 yards this season, and it’s allowing just 145 passing yards per game overall, lowest in the NFL. The Ravens should be able to get enough done on offense to win this game, but it won’t come through the air as frequently.
Lamar Jackson Over 40.5 Rushing Yards (-114 FanDuel)
While I’m fading Jackson as a passer in this game, I believe the opportunity is there for him to have a strong rushing performance. Jackson had 60 rushing yards against the Seahawks last week and he has gone over this number in five of his nine games so far this season. Jackson leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards.
Myles Garrett and Co. will be bearing down on Jackson in this game, which sets up the likelihood of more scrambles out of the pocket. The Browns have allowed the highest explosive run rate since Week 5, and I see Jackson’s legs as the Ravens’ best path to scoring here given the likelihood that he struggles through the air.
Lamar Jackson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+210 FanDuel)
Along with the belief that Jackson will have success as a runner in this game, let’s bet on him to score a touchdown. Jackson’s 22 red-zone rushing attempts rank second among all quarterbacks behind only Jalen Hurts and would rank 13th among running backs this season. He scored two touchdowns against the Browns earlier this season.
As always, be sure to shop for the best odds in these anytime touchdown scorer markets. I’m currently seeing +210 at FanDuel and as low as +155 at DraftKings. That’s a huge difference that shouldn’t be ignored. Use the player prop search tool above to compare odds from different books available in your state.
