Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks Preview
The Dallas Mavericks (20-26) host the Los Angeles Clippers (25-21) tonight in hopes of ending their losing streak.
At points this season, the Clippers were looking like the surprise team of the league, and Dallas was starting to look like a playoff contender, but so much has changed since then.
The Mavericks have lost their last four, have gone 3-7 in their last 10 and are currently 13th in the West. The Clippers stopped the bleeding of their latest skid with a win this weekend. They are 4-6 in their last 10 and are hanging onto 8th place in the West.
Last time they played, it was a shootout between Euro sensations Danilo Gallinari and Luka Doncic, who had 32 points each in a Clippers 125-121 win.

LA Clippers Starting Lineup
The Clippers got a much-needed win on Sunday, beating the San Antonio Spurs 103-95 with a banged up team and ending their five-game losing streak.
Tobias Harris did it all for the Clippers with 27 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Montrezl Harrell also had a big night as he got the start, with 18 points being the roller on several pick-and-rolls.
The Clippers, who were missing Gallinari and Lou Williams among others, also got a boost from a player that hasn’t played well this season. Patrick Beverley utilized his starting minutes and finished with 18 points and 12 assists.
Beverley set the tone for the Clippers and hounded the Spurs guards on defense all night.
Dallas Mavericks Starting Lineup

While they’ve reportedly been open to trade offers for the young guard, Dennis Smith Jr. will return to the Dallas lineup tonight.
The Mavericks could definitely use all the help they can get. Dallas has not won a game since January 11, and their last two losses have been by double-digit deficits to both the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Six Mavericks players played more than 30 minutes yesterday, and while the Clippers are banged up, they’ll be well-rested, so Rick Carlisle will look deep down his bench and likely play Smith heavy minutes.
Harrison Barnes continues to struggle from long range. Yesterday against the Bucks, he was 0-of-8 from three and just 4-of-15 from the field for eight points. The one bright spot in the loss for Dallas was that Luka Doncic had a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Smith was a big part of the Mavs’ success early along with Doncic and if he can figure out a way to play with Doncic, even if it affects his role, it could be a positive change for Dallas.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks Betting Odds
The home team, Dallas, is a four-point favorite to win tonight’s game. The over/under is 222 points and the moneyline has seen very little movement, where Dallas is currently -180 and the Clippers are at +160.
The Mavericks are 16-6 at home and 10-7 as the favorite. The Clippers re just 11-11 on the road and 6-14 as the underdog.

Luka Doncic ($8.9k) and Tobias Harris ($8.1k) are standout fantasy players for tonight’s matchup. They’ve both put their teams on their backs lately. Doncic, who is coming off a triple-double, is projected for 43.09 points on FanDuel tonight, while Harris is expected to finish with 43.24.
Point guards Patrick Beverley ($4.7k) and Dennis Smith Jr. ($5.2k) are value picks. Beverley played very well against San Antonio and they’ll look to him to lead the Clippers again tonight, where he is projected to finish with 29.94 points. Smith, who is back in the lineup, should get plenty of playing time with Dallas’ starters on the second game of a back-to-back. FanDuel has him slated for 24.28 points.
