Los Angeles Dodgers Vs. Chicago White Sox Picks & Prediction

Los Angeles is averaging 5.41 runs per nine innings, tops in Major League Baseball. They have a team batting average of .251, sixth in the league, and their OPS is .761, best in all of MLB.  The Dodgers’ pitching staff has allowed 3.30 runs per nine innings, second in the league with opponents’ batting .219 against the team, third in MLB.  Against right-handed pitchers this year, Los Angeles is 22-13.  The White Sox are averaging 3.69 runs per nine innings, 27th overall in MLB.  They have a team batting average of .240, 17th in the league, and their OPS is .657, 28th overall in baseball.  Chicago’s pitching staff has allowed 4.77 runs per nine innings, 25th in MLB with opponents’ batting .247 against the club, 23rd in the league.  The White Sox are 18-21 against righties in 2022.

The Dodgers have one of the best teams in baseball, while the White Sox have been one of the more disappointing clubs this season.  I’m going with Los Angeles to win the first game of the series vs. their American League opponents from Chicago.  The teams will score over 8.5 runs combined and the Dodgers will cover the 1.5 runs spread.
