Los Angeles Lakers vs. Chicago Bulls Preview
The Lakers are coming into tonight’s game having lost their last two, while the Bulls have lost their last seven.
Lakers star forward LeBron James is out again tonight, and while you wouldn’t expect the Lakers wouldn’t need James for this light part of their schedule, they were proven wrong in their last game.
This will be the first game of the inter-conference season series between the Lakers and Bulls. Last time they played was January 26, 2018. Then it was Brandon Ingram’s 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists that led the Lakers to a 108-103 win.

Los Angeles Lakers Starting Lineup
After the Lakers appeared on the right track, even without LeBron James as Luke Walton lit a fire under the young Lakers, who won two in a row, they have now dropped their last two – an embarrassing 95-113 loss against the Utah Jazz, and then James had to sit and watch as his former team and the team with the worst record in the league ended their streak against the Lakers.
Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram did everything they could to will a win, and Lonza Ball was right there, but Josh Hart continues to struggle, JaVale McGee is providing little to no offense, and the players they normally count on off the bench, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Lance Stephenson and Ivica Zubac disappeared against the Cavs.
The Lakers defense just couldn’t find the answers against Cleveland, who had all five starters finish with double digits in points.
Chicago Bulls Starting Lineup
|C||Wendell Carter Jr.|
After being beaten badly 109-146 at the hands of the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls tried to end their skid against the Utah Jazz on Saturday night to no avail. The Bulls started off slow and then got on a hot streak in the second quarter, but they couldn’t sustain it against Donovan Mitchell, who scored 33, and the Jazz, who won 1110-106.
No matter how you look at it, the Chicago Bulls are young and inexperienced, starting two rookies and two second-year players alongside Zach LaVine.
Jabari Parker’s return to his hometown team has not gone as well as planned, with interim coach Jim Boylen taking him out of the rotation completely back in mid-December. He finally got some playing time on Saturday, as he finished with 11 points and seven rebounds in 19 minutes, but that could likely be more about showcasing him in order to trade him.
