Memphis Grizzlies at Los Angeles Clippers Preview
The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers meet tonight at the Staples Center. The Grizzlies have had success hanging around and have been able to steal some games here and there. However, they have a 31-45 this season and won’t qualify for the playoffs
Meanwhile, the Clippers have been one of the league’s hottest teams winning nine of their last ten games at Staples. Last night they beat Cleveland 132-108 at home and are currently are the sixth seed in the Western Conference standings with a 46-31 record. They’re only a half-game behind Utah for the 5th seed and 1.5 games ahead of 7th seeded San Antonio.
With the regular season coming to a close, teams with nothing to play for most likely will let up as playoff contenders continue to press on the gas. That makes blowouts occur at a much higher rate and I wouldn’t be shocked if this game turns into that. The Clippers also face Houston on Wednesday, so it’s important they win the games they’re favored in against weaker competition.
