Bucks Analysis
The Bucks are in good form, having won seven out of their last eight games. This run has given them some cushion on top of the East. Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to continue to lead this team, and judging off his last game, he will continue to do so efficiently. He scored 29 points, and also grabbed 17 rebounds. Giannis is clearly the leader, but other players have also had good seasons behind him.
Khris Middleton has stepped up in a big way so far this year. He is averaging 17.1 points per game, and when he’s on the floor the defense must pay close attention to both him and Giannis. This dynamic duo has been the main reason why they are the second-best scoring offense in the league.
To pair with their high-powered offense, they also have one of the top defenses in the league. They only allow 107.3 points per game which is good enough for seventh in that category. Their defense isn’t usually under too much pressure because of their offense, but when they need to make stops, this defense is capable of doing so.

Pacers Analysis
The Pacers have caught fire winning six straight after the Victor Oladipo injury. After he went down most people counted them out, but they have already exceeded those expectations. Now they are looking like a legit playoff team led by Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner.
The main reason for their success this season has been because of their defense. They currently have the no. 1 scoring defense in the league. It becomes a lot easier to outscore the opponent when they can only score around 90 points, only one team has been able to break 100 against the Pacers in the last six games. Having a big-time rim protector like Myles Turner helps make the overall defense look a lot better, as he is averaging 2.8 blocks per game this season.
Meanwhile, on the offense, they are led by Bojan Bogdanovic (16.7 points per game) and Domantas Sabonis (14.1 points per game). The Pacers are also hoping Wesley Matthews will help take some of the offensive pressure off these two. It is Matthews’ second game in Indiana and in the first one he was kept quiet and only scored eight points. His scoring production should improve as he begins to be more accustomed to the system. If he improves, then the Pacers will be hard to stop.
