Milwaukee Bucks vs. Golden State Warriors Matchup Preview (3/12/22)
On Saturday, the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors, two teams with Finals experience and a championship in recent years, will battle at the Chase Center. Golden State will not have Draymond Green in the lineup yet, but he did state that he is close to returning. The Warriors just finished taking care of the red-hot Denver Nuggets on the road in their best game in a while; they have struggled a lot since losing Green. Still, this team can be dangerous on any given night, and they have more than a chance to beat Milwaukee.
The Bucks have won six straight games, averaging just shy of 128 points per game in that stretch. They are shooting the ball extremely well but still allowing teams to put up a lot of points on the other end. Regardless, Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing at an MVP level and has an outside chance to get yet another award. Check out my analysis below for this matchup and see who I have winning and covering the spread!
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Odds
Milwaukee has been playing extremely well recently, but you should note that the Bucks are giving up a lot of points on the defensive end. The Warriors have looked solid on the defensive end over the past two games, so if that continues, then they could definitely secure a home win. Regardless, anytime the Warriors are home dogs, I feel like there is a lot of value there. I will go with Golden State against the spread for this matchup.

Milwaukee Bucks Analysis
The Milwaukee Bucks have been on fire in their past six games, winning them all and even three of them by double-digits. Milwaukee has averaged an astonishing 127.7 points in that stretch on roughly a 50/40/80 split as a team. Hopefully, I do not have to explain how incredible that is for a team over multiple games. Defensively, the Bucks still have to take a few steps in the right direction; they are below-average on that end right now and allowing way too many easy buckets. Still, like many other teams, Milwaukee could not get all of its players healthy at the beginning of the season, but we are now seeing an inspired team that is clicking on all cylinders. While the Bucks are missing Brook Lopez and Pat Connaughton, they at least have their big three of Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Jrue Holiday to lead them. If they can improve defensively, it will be hard to win a seven-game series against them.

SG: Moses Moody
SF: Klay Thompson
PF: Andrew Wiggins
C: Kevon Looney
Golden State Warriors Analysis
There is light at the end of the tunnel for the Golden State Warriors: Draymond Green could return as soon as Monday night against the Washington Wizards. Green stated that he plans on returning Monday, but it is not a done deal quite yet. Regardless of whether or not it is that specific day, it is incredibly promising that he will be back very soon. Additionally, the Warriors started to resemble the team from earlier in the season when they played against the Denver Nuggets on the road. It is never easy to play in Denver due to the altitude, but even more so when it is playing at the level that it has been. Lastly, James Wiseman will be playing in a few G-League games and then returning to the Warriors. Wiseman may not be a huge impact on the offensive end immediately; however, he can contribute by being physical, playing defense, and rebounding. It will help to deploy a seven-footer when it is needed!
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Golden State Warriors Daily Fantasy Picks
Jordan Poole has been on absolute fire recently, proving that he is one of the elite scorers in the league. Poole has been terrific as a secondary scorer for the Golden State Warriors this season. Even with Klay Thompson returning, Poole has found his shots and his role within the offense, and it is still significant. If Thompson does not get much more efficient from the floor, then Poole will continue to see an increase in field goal attempts. Poole has posted just shy of 17 points, four assists, and three rebounds on the season. Earlier in the season, Poole was closer to averaging 19 points per game; however, he has been doing even better than that in his past five games. Poole has averaged 24 points, five assists, and three rebounds during that stretch on a 61/59/89 shooting split. Surely, the Warriors realize how ridiculously hot Poole has been shooting and will continue to feed him the ball. For DFS purposes, he could be eyeing a 25-30 point game in this one, so give him a look!
Bobby Portis has had by far the best season of his career after being an integral piece for the Milwaukee Bucks’ championship run. This season, Portis has posted 16 points and nine rebounds on spectacular efficiency for a big man. His shooting split this year has been 49/42/75, which is better than most players in the NBA, including some guards that historically can shoot at a high level. Recently, Portis has had some big games posting 30 points against the Brooklyn Nets and 23 in his most recent game versus the Atlanta Hawks. Portis does a great job of spreading defenses and allowing Giannis to have room to operate from 15 feet and in. This could be a terrific matchup for Portis on the interior, though, as Wiggins will probably be the one tasked to guard him. Wiggins has virtually no shot at guarding Portis in the post, so I like him in DFS for this one.
