  • Evan Longoria was scratched over the weekend, and remains questionable for today’s game.
  • Leonys Martin is questionable against the White Sox.
  • Adam Jones missed some time over the weekend, and is questionable today against the Rays.
  • Cody Bellinger and Ronald Acuna are both questionable for tonight’s game.
  • Lorenzo Cain will also be out today after leaving Sunday’s game with a hand contusion.

San Francisco Giants (15-19) @ Cincinnati Reds (14-20)

Starting Pitchers: Drew Pomeranz (L) vs. Anthony DeSclafani (R)

  • The Reds are -140 favorites at home, and the Giants have under a four implied total.
  • Drew Pomeranz has looked better this season with a 25% strikeout rate, but is still a league average lefty at best.
  • Anthony DeSclafani has struggled with lefty bats in his career, but is extremely tough on right-handers.

Chicago White Sox (14-18) @ Cleveland Indians (18-14)

Starting Pitchers: Ivan Nova (R) vs. Trevor Bauer (R)

  • Cleveland are massive -230 home favorites, and the White Sox have just a 3.4 implied total against the Indians.
  • Trevor Bauer has the 29% strikeout rate, but a 12.2% walk rate this season.
  • Ivan Nova has allowed a 1.72 HR/9 this season.

Seattle Mariners (19-17) @ New York Yankees (19-14)

Starting Pitchers: Felix Hernandez (R) vs. C.C. Sabathia (L)

  • After a hot start to the season, Seattle is now 3-7 in their last ten games, and are out of first place in the AL West.
  • Two former aces square off, but the Yankees are the heavier favorites at -148.
  • C.C. Sabathia has the 7th highest SIERA on the slate.

Boston Red Sox (17-18) @ Baltimore Orioles (12-22)

Starting Pitchers: Josh Smith (R) vs. John Means (L)

  • Boston is 7-3 in their last ten games, and are now five back of Tampa Bay. They open up a series with Baltimore, and it is a good chance to gain some ground.
  • John Means has allowed a 1.40 HR/9 this season, and faces a Boston team that is heating up.

Minnesota Twins (20-12) @ Toronto Blue Jays (15-19)

Starting Pitchers: Martin Perez (L) vs. Marcus Stroman (R)

  • Minnesota remains red hot, going 7-3 in their last ten games. They are two games up on Cleveland in the Central.
  • Vegas has this one as a pick’em, which is a bit odd given how good Minnesota has been so far.
  • Marcus Stroman is in a tough spot, but has a 23% strikeout rate and 55% groundball rate.

Arizona Diamondbacks (20-14) @ Tampa Bay Rays (21-12)

Starting Pitchers: Merrill Kelly (L) vs. Blake Snell (L)

  • The Diamondbacks are a game out of first place in the NL West, and are 7-3 in their last ten games.
  • Blake Snell has a 33.6% strikeout rate this season, and 3.08 SIERA.
  • Merrill Kelly has limited damage, but is a below average strikeout arm due for some regression.

Washington Nationals (14-19) @ Milwaukee Brewers (20-16)

Starting Pitchers: Max Scherzer (R) vs. Jhoulys Chacin (R)

  • Washington continues to slide, losing seven of their last ten games. They are now five out of first in the NL East. Milwaukee is 7-3 in their last ten games.
  • Max Scherzer and the Nationals are slight road favorites, and both teams have an implied total under four.
  • Jhoulys Chacin has a 5.56 SIERA this season, but will face a watered down Nationals lineup.

Miami Marlins (9-24) @ Chicago Cubs (19-12)

Starting Pitchers: Sandy Alcantara (R) vs. Cole Hamels (L)

  • The Marlins have yet to reach the ten win mark, and are 2-8 in their last ten games. The Cubs have won seven straight, and are a half game up in the Central.
  • Wind is blowing in a bit at Wrigley, and the Cubs are whopping -249 favorites.
  • Cole Hamels has a 24% strikeout rate and 3.77 SIERA this season.

Philadelphia Phillies (19-14) @ St. Louis Cardinals (20-14)

Starting Pitchers: Vince Velasquez (R) vs. Miles Mikolas (R)

  • The Cardinals have lost four straight, and face a Phillies team that has won seven of their last ten games.
  • Miles Mikolas has the lowest strikeout rate on the slate
  • The Cardinals are -130 home favorites, and have an implied total over 4.5.

Kansas City Royals (12-23) @ Houston Astros (20-14)

Starting Pitchers: Jake Junis (R) vs. Gerrit Cole (R)

  • Houston are two games up in the AL West, and are 10-3 at home on the season.
  • The Astros are monster favorites sitting at -283, and the Royals have an implied total of three.
  • Gerrit Cole leads all pitchers starting today in K%, sitting at 37.6.

Atlanta Braves (18-16) @ Los Angeles Dodgers (22-14)

Starting Pitchers: Kevin Gausman (R) vs. Walker Buehler (R)

  • The Dodgers are 7-3 in their last ten games, but the Braves come into town winning three straight.
  • Atlanta are +134 dogs and have an implied total of 3.4 runs.
  • Kevin Gausman should be well rested after being ejected last time out. He gets the Dodgers tonight, who have been one of the best offenses in baseball.

New York Mets (16-18) @ San Diego Padres (19-16)

Starting Pitchers: Jacob deGrom (R) vs. Chris Paddack (R)

  • The Mets are scuffling a bit, losing three straight and seven of their last ten games. They will head to San Diego, where the Padres are 8-10 at home this season.
  • Great pitching matchup has both teams under 3.5 runs for an implied total. deGrom is a slight road favorite.
  • As mentioned we have two great pitchers on the hill, as one is established, and one is up and coming. Paddack has a 28% strikeout rate this season, and deGrom sits at 34%.
