The Devils could definitely use this win to get ahead in the Metropolitan Division, with the team 4th in the division with 51 points compared to the 2nd-ranked Carolina Hurricanes at 57 points. However, Carolina has dominated this series as of late, winning 4 of its last 5 games against the Devils. Both teams have goaltending questions tonight, but the absence of Jack Hughes and the productivity of the Hurricanes power play will make the difference here.
