New York Giants Analysis
The New York Giants are at a bit of a crossroads. Right now, despite the win last week that was gifted to them by Ron Rivera, Daniel Jones does not seem to be the solution at QB. He is turning the ball over at record rates, he is unable to finish off drives for scores, and he simply does not seem to have the “it” factor. However, in such a weak division the Giants are 1 win and 1 Dallas loss away from being tied atop of the NFC East. While tanking seems viable, the Giants could somehow slip into the playoffs. Daniel Jones knows this and knows that if he does not perform, then it will lead to the Giants being able to draft a QB.
I think it is clear that the Giants will be trying to win this football game. This is a game that could see Daniel Jones have a big day. The Eagles have been efficient against the pass, only giving up 6 net yards per passing attempt, 10th best in the league. However, with Jones’ mobility and some big-play targets like Slayton, he should be able to lead drives down the field. One player that will need to step up and finally produce a monster game is Evan Engram. Everyone saw what Chase Claypool did to the Eagles, and Engram can do that by hitting Philly on seam routes. This Jones to Engram connection is what could really flip the season around for the Giants.
On the ground, relying on Freeman has not been great thus far. He has been averaging a putrid 3.22 yards per carry behind this offensive line. The problem is that this offensive line is not great, and Freeman just seems to have lost any ability to make guys miss. I think that we have gotten to the point where we can say that it was Kyle Shanahan’s amazing system that allowed Freeman to be so good, even in his prime. Running the ball against Philly will not work, and it will fall on the shoulders of Daniel Jones to win this game.
The defense for the Giants is hard to pin down. They have some players who have been outstanding such as Blake Martinez and James Bradberry. However, as a whole, they have not been dominant. The defensive line on paper should be great, but they have simply underperformed so far. Losing Lorenzo Carter to injury was a big deal. Regardless, in this game, with no Miles Sanders, they should be able to put a stop to the Philly run game.
Carson Wentz will be the problem. The Fulgham vs Bradberry matchup may be one of the most underrated WR/CB matchups we get all year. I am extremely curious as to who will win between the two of them. If Bradberry shuts him down, then I believe that the Giants can take this game.

Philadelphia Eagles Analysis
Carson Wentz has really turned his season around, and with 0 weapons helping him. The pitchforks and torches have been put down as Philly fans realize that Wentz is the only thing saving this team from losing games by 40+ points. This game against the Giants is an absolute must-win, by every definition of the phrase.
Carson Wentz and Travis Fulgham have turned into an unlikely deadly combination of QB/WR. The matchup of Fulgham versus the number one CB for the Giants in James Bradberry will be a key matchup. If Fulgham gets shut down, then I do not know where Wentz can turn to. This game will have no Miles Sanders or Zach Ertz, and we do not know when Alshon Jeffery, Desean Jackson, or Jalen Regor will be back. This team is in shambles. However, the biggest worry is missing offensive line pieces like Lane Johnson.
Without an outstanding offensive line, the mix of Boston Scott and Corey Clement will do nothing against this middling Giants front 7. This will invite pressure on passing downs and cause Wentz to not get the time that he needs to make plays and win this game.
The defense will be the star of the show for the Eagles. I think that it will fall on the shoulders of this unit to cause turnovers, get stops, and allow the Eagles to win due to great field position for their offense, and the Giants failing to score points. Darius Slay will have the matchup to look out for on the defense taking on Darius Slayton. This game can, once and for all, determine which Darius Slay(ton) is the best.
The secondary is really the group that Philly fans should be concerned for. If they all another performance like they did with Claypool on the Steelers, then they could lose this ball game. However, I think that Philly fans should be extremely confident in their run-stopping ability against the Giants. I do not see Freeman doing much of anything in this game. Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham will swallow the inside run game, and Freeman does not have the speed anymore to kill them on the edges.

At the end of the day, I do not believe that Daniel Jones can win this game. The difference between these two QBs is that Wentz knows how to step up and lead a team to victory, even with limited talent. Daniel Jones has been put into prime positions to win ball games and has consistently failed. I am also going with the over because every Eagles game thus far, no matter the opponent, has hit over the 43 mark, and I see this game as no different. Jones will put up some points, but in the end, turnovers will cost them.
Philly 27-17 over the Giants.

Daily Fantasy Picks
Carson Wentz at $5,700 is not a bad play at all. This kind of price point with Wentz’s production the past 4 weeks would lead you well on your way to a cash win. I believe that he will be able to hit the Giants deep and keep that connection going with Fulgham. This will be a test without Sanders or Ertz, but a test that I believe he will pass.
Travis Fulgham at $5,400 will have a tough test against James Bradberry. However, with his target share at this price point, I cannot resist. This is a great GPP or cash play. I love the value that you are getting in cash out of this price point. Then, in GPP I love the upside of Fulgham going crazy for a third week in a row and helping lead your team to the promised land.
Evan Engram at $5,200 is a GPP play through and through. His value is not great, so I believe that he will be barely owned if at all rostered in many tournaments. However, despite the value being a little gross, he has a chance to go completely insane and win you a week. The Eagles are awful against TEs, and anyone running over the middle of the field. Engram should have a great week, but I just feel that most people have lost trust. Take a risk and swing for the fences with Engram.
