The Patriots come into this game as the clear favorites. They face a Jets team that is starting their third string quarterback and has lost two games straight at home. The Jets have a solid talent on their roster, but they have had a difficult start to the season. The matchup this week will also be very difficult for them. They have almost no chance to win this game, as the Patriots are favored to win this game by 22.5 points. In all of NFL history, teams that have been favored to win by 21 or more points are 35-0. This game should be no different, and the Patriots should enter next week at 3-0. For odds movement and full matchup history, visit the New York Jets and New England Patriots matchup page.

New York Jets Analysis
After Trevor Siemian left the field with an injury against the Browns, Luke Falk took over at quarterback. He had a decent game statistically speaking, completing 20 of 25 passes for 198 yards, and he had a few good throws. It was not a great game for him, but he showed some promise. Still, there has to be a reason he has been on three teams since 2018 and has not thrown a pass in the regular season. The Titans drafted him in the 5th round of the 2018 draft, but cut him before the season. He spent his 2018 season with the Dolphins and the Jets signed him this offseason. He could be a decent quarterback in this league, but will not have much of an opportunity to prove it against the Patriots defense. The Jets will have great difficulty producing on offense this week.
The Jets face steep competition this week against the best team in the league. Without Sam Darnold, they have even less of a chance to win this game. They come into this game at 0-2 and they will probably exit this week at 0-3. The offense and defense has looked decent, but they are no match for this Patriots team.

New England Patriots Analysis
There is a lot of hype surrounding the Patriots this year. They have outscored their opponents 76-3 in the first two games. The win in week 1 against the Steelers was impressive. They completely shut down a powerful Steelers offense and picked apart the defense with ease. The win in week 2 was also impressive just because of the sheer number of points the Patriots scored without allowing any points. They should have a fairly easy matchup this week against the Jets in Foxborough.
Tom Brady has not lost a step. He has looked as sharp as ever so far this season. With all the weapons he has to throw to, he is primed to have a great season. The addition of Antonio Brown instantly improves this offense. He is one of the best receivers in the league, and paired with Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon, the Patriots now have one of the best receiving corps in the league. However, last week, the Patriots receivers did not perform very well against the Dolphins. The Patriots had 2 defensive touchdowns, and still won by 43 points. With only 381 yards of total offense, the Patriots did not use their weapons that much. Antonio Brown was the top receiver, and he only had 4 receptions for 56 yards. In this game, the Patriots may not have to use their passing attack if they are firmly in the lead. They will still pass the ball to get into the lead, but will rely on the rushing attack to close out the game towards the end of the game.

Daily Fantasy: Brady Picks Apart Jets Defense
Tom Brady (DK: $6,600, FD: $7,800) is an expensive option this week, but he will put up a lot of fantasy points this week. He is a very good option at quarterback, as he has put up 25 points in his last 2 games. That trend should continue against the Jets this week. Though Sony Michel (DK: $6,000, FD: $6,800) looks like he might have a good matchup this week, he will probably not perform too well. Last week, against the worst defense in the league, Michel only posted 85 yards and 1 touchdown. Those are good numbers, but not numbers you would expect with that favorable of a matchup. The Jets run defense is pretty good, and Michel’s salary is way too high for the number of fantasy points he will produce this week. As for the Patriots receivers, I would avoid them for this week. Against the Dolphins last week, no single receiver got more than 60 yards. Tom Brady will probably spread the ball around in what figures to be another blowout victory for the Patriots. For the Jets, Le’Veon Bell (DK: $7,000, FD: $7,700) is a solid option. He has only had 128 rushing yards in the first two weeks, but he has also had 16 receptions. Since DraftKings and FanDuel award fantasy points for each reception, Bell will still have a good game. Luke Falk threw 8 of his 20 completions to Bell last week, and we should see Bell get his fair share of checkdowns this week.
