New York Jets vs. New England Patriots Player Prop Picks
It could be a snow game between the Jets and Patriots on Sunday as both teams try to close out disappointing seasons on a high note. Here’s a look at some of the best player prop bets for the season finale in Foxborough.
Ezekiel Elliott First Touchdown Scorer (+500, FanDuel)
There isn’t much value on touchdowns for Ezekiel Elliott or Breece Hall in this game, and there isn’t enough reason to have faith in anyone else to score knowing what the weather will be like for this game. A first touchdown bet for Elliott makes sense, though.
The Jets might face a tough road to finding the end zone, considering they already have a tough time in the red zone even when the weather is fine. New York’s defense is also considerably worse on the road than at home, so the Patriots should be the clear favorite to score the first touchdown.
Elliott has been inefficient for much of the season, but he’s been heavily used over the last five weeks, and that won’t be changing in a potential snow game. With three touchdowns in his last four games, a first TD bet for Elliott offers solid value.
Garrett Wilson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+320, FanDuel)
If there is going to be a Jets touchdown outside of Breece Hall, chances are Garrett Wilson will be the best candidate. While Wilson hasn’t scored in any of his last five games, Trevor Siemian has proven he knows the second-year receiver is his best bet for success. Wilson has been targeted a total of 25 times in Siemian’s two starts, and while he’s caught only 56 percent of those passes, there have been more than enough opportunities for the Ohio State product as long as Siemian is under center.
The passing game will be limited for the Jets on Sunday, but only two players have more than one receiving touchdown for the Jets this season: Hall and Wilson. It’s not worth considering a touchdown bet on any other pass-catcher.
