Seattle Seahawks & Kansas City Chiefs (April 23rd, 2019)
Seahawks Receive: 2019 1st Round Pick, 2020 2nd Round Pick, 2019 3rd Round Pick Swap (Chiefs)
Chiefs Receive: DE Frank Clark, 2019 3rd Round Pick Swap (Seahawks)
Lineups Analysis: The Chiefs lacked on the defensive side last season, but recently made a move for one of Seattle’s best defensive players, Frank Clark. They will also swap third round picks with Seattle. Kansas City gave up their first two picks for Clark, giving Seattle a few extra that they desperately needed. Kansas City also extended Clark for 105.5 million. A bit of an overpay when you look at what they gave up and are now paying. Clark will certainly give them a strong outside rush, but for what they gave up and paid this seems to be a reach.
Cleveland Browns & Kansas City Chiefs (April 1st, 2019)
Browns Receive: CB Eric Murray
Chiefs Receive: DE Emmanuel Ogbah
Lineups Analysis: The Chiefs are looking to retool their defense, and added Emmanuel Ogbah as a defensive end. Corner and safety Eric Murray will move to Cleveland, and could step into some reasonable playing time right off the bat.
Chicago Bears & Philadelphia Eagles (March 28th, 2019)
Bears Receive: 2020 6th Round Pick
Eagles Receive: RB Jordan Howard
Lineups Analysis: Chicago was ready to move on from Jordan Howard, and once again Philly came in getting a potential upside running back for cheap. Offering up a 6th round pick is nothing if they can use Howard in a smarter role than Chicago did.
Dallas Cowboys & Miami Dolphins (March 28th, 2019)
Cowboys Receive: DE Robert Quinn
Dolphins Receive: 2020 6th Round Pick
Lineups Analysis: Robert Quinn is a short term fix for the Cowboys, and they got him on the cheap. Quinn has been slipping of late, but a change of scenery might be fore the best.
Tennessee Titans & Miami Dolphins (March 12th, 2019)
Titans Receive: QB Ryan Tannehill & 2019 6th Round Pick
Dolphins Receive: 2019 7th Round Pick & 2020 4th Round Pick
Lineups Analysis: Miami has finally moved on from Ryan Tannehill, and shipped him to be a backup in Tennessee. With Marcus Mariota’s injury history, Tennessee will get a backup that has been a below average starter the last few seasons.
Cleveland Browns & New York Giants (March 12th, 2019)
Browns Receive: WR Odell Beckham Jr.
Giants Receive: 2019 1st Round pick (17th Overall), 2019 3rd Round Pick, S Jabril Peppers
Lineups Analysis: One of the more overlooked parts of this trade is that Jabril Peppers is on his way to New York. With Landon Collins gone, New York filled a need through this trade. The Giants added some picks to their arsenal, but Cleveland made out with a top five wideout in the game to pair with a young quarterback. This is going to be a fun trade to see how it plays out.
Oakland Raiders & New York Jets (March 10th, 2019)
Raiders Receive: 5th Round Pick
Jets Receive: OL Kelechi Osemele, 6th Round Pick
Lineups Analysis: The Raiders kept on moving picks around, and gave up some offensive line depth to the Jets to receive a fifth round pick. It is not the most notable trade of the offseason, but it is another Oakland draft pick to build for the future. New York also needs plenty of offensive line help for Le’Veon Bell.
Oakland Raiders & Pittsburgh Steelers (March 10th, 2019)
Raiders Receive: WR Antonio Brown
Steelers Receive: 3rd Round Pick & 5th Round Pick
It wasn’t quite the Le’Veon Bell saga that lingered on for years, but it was another Pittsburgh star wanting out. After some fake news dropped of Antonio Brown going to Buffalo, it seemed that was never that close to begin with. Instead, Oakland came offering a third and fifth round pick. That’s it? Yeah, that is all it took. Oakland restructured his deal, but the more important thing is they kept their top picks. Brown might take a dip in terms of fantasy value, but we have to wait and see what the Raiders do in free agency, and through the draft.
Philadelphia Eagles & New England Patriots (March 8th, 2019)
Eagles Receive: 5th Round Pick
Patriots Receive: DE Michael Bennett & 7th Round Pick
It is that time where the Patriots start to make sneaky moves that keep them being the dynasty that they are. Michael Bennett had nine sacks last season, and apparently this might even mean that Martellus Bennett comes out of retirement to play with his brother in New England. Bennett is a nice pick up for the Patriots, getting a rusher that can still make a difference in this league. The Eagles were in a position where they could get rid of him for scraps. This is a bigger add for the Patriots.
Pittsburgh Steelers & Arizona Cardinals (March 8th, 2019)
Steelers Receive: Late 6th-Round Pick
Cardinals Receive: RT Marcus Gilbert
Pittsburgh wasn’t able to afford Marcus Gilbert, and the Cardinals came calling. This could be a huge upgrade for an Arizona offensive line that desperately needed help. With them also likely bringing in a new QB that will need some protection, this is a step in the right direction. I thought that Pittsburgh could have gotten more, but after the Brown trade it seems they are taking what they can get just to get rid of these guys.
New York Giants & Cleveland Browns (March 8th, 2019)
Giants Receive: RG Kevin Zeitler
Browns Receive: DE Olivier Vernon
This is a trade that both teams should benefit from. Kevin Zeitler is a proven right guard, who played well for the Browns. With the Giants offensive line in need, they traded a quality end in Olivier Vernon to the Browns to fill one of their needs. Cleveland is building something strong on the defensive side. Sure, you can argue that Zeitler was a piece they could continue with, but overall it was a win for both teams.
Denver Broncos & Baltimore Ravens (February 13th, 2019)
Broncos Receive: QB Joe Flacco
Ravens Receive: 2019 4th Round Pick (#107)
Lineups Analysis: The Ravens officially moved on from Joe Flacco clearing the path for Lamar Jackson to be their QB of the future which we all expected. This move also likely means the end of Case Keenum in Denver who will be probably be moved in a trade or even released. Both of these QBs have shown flashes but failed to put it together last season and with the way both of these team’s rosters are constructed they have no more time to wait around. Flacco will probably start week 1 for the Broncos and Keenum will find a landing spot as one of the top backup QBs in the league assuming he is moved.
