Can the Hornets put together a second straight win against Indiana on their home floor despite still missing LaMelo Ball and Mark Williams? Find our Indiana Pacers vs. Charlotte Hornets prediction, betting picks, and in-depth analysis below!
Indiana Pacers Vs. Charlotte Hornets Prediction
Charlotte is fresh off a home win against the Memphis Grizzlies, but that isn’t saying much. Memphis has dropped eight consecutive games and is in the midst of a complete freefall due to an abundance of injuries to most of its key starters and rotational players.
The Hornets are 2-23 in their past 25 games without LaMelo Ball this season, which is just a horrendous statistic. However, it should not come as much of a surprise. Their net rating in those games is -14.4, which is well below the -8.9 net rating that the Washington Wizards (last place in net rating) have had on the season.
Meanwhile, the Pacers finally got Tyrese Haliburton back up to the 30+ minute threshold in their last outing against the New York Knicks. While the Knicks were without a handful of key players, it was promising to see this squad play at a high level again.
This is a fantastic spot to fade the Hornets because they are amongst the worst offensive teams in the NBA, even with the emergence of Brandon Miller. Now, they will be without Ball and recently traded guard Terry Rozier, leaving them in an extremely tricky spot to keep up with the fast-paced, high-octane ‘Cers.
Charlotte has failed to eclipse 100 points in three of its past five games, which is not a great sign against a team averaging 124 points per game.
Indiana Pacers Vs. Charlotte Hornets Prediction: Indiana Pacers -9.5 (-110)
