Philadelphia 76ers vs. Brooklyn Nets 12/12/18: Starting Lineups, Matchup Breakdown, Odds, Daily Fantasy, Betting
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Brooklyn Nets Preview
On paper, tonight’s matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers (19-9) and Brooklyn Nets (10-18) looks like a mismatch, but the Nets likely looked like a mismatch to the league-leading Toronto Raptors as well before Brooklyn shocked them with a 106-105 victory.
Tonight’s game in Philadelphia will be the third in the series after they split the first two in Brooklyn earlier this season.
This will be a matchup between two games that want to extend their winning streaks to three straight. Both teams have gotten big contributions from their respective second units of late and that should be a factor tonight.

76ers Analysis
Philadelphia is looking to continue their winning ways as they play in the second of their three-game homestand tonight.
Jimmy Butler has breathed new life into this 76ers team, but not all members of the team have adjusted to his addition. Center Joel Embiid was vocal about his role changing lately, and Philadelphia recently gave him a night of rest off.
Otherwise, Philadelphia seems to be rolling right along. Against Detroit in their last game, they were able to get double-digit scoring from four bench players, and the bench also seemed to be on fire from deep.

Nets Analysis
Like the 76ers, the Nets are also on a two-game winning streak, and they’ve received a big boost from one of their reserve corps. Against the Knicks, guard Spencer Dinwiddie was a catalyst in extending their streak with a 25-point performance.
The scoring outburst was needed for a Nets team that has been giving up more points (110.6 per game) than they are scoring (108.7).
Brooklyn will likely need more from starting point guard D’Angelo Russell tonight. Though he dished 11 assists, he only managed half of his scoring average against the Knicks.

76ers vs. Nets Betting Odds
The Philadelphia 76ers are a -7 favorite with the over/under at 221.0. The money line is at a -310 for Philadelphia.
While the Nets have picked up some big wins, the 76ers have been solid at home, especially since acquiring Butler.

DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Picks
Though Joel Embiid has had his frustrations lately, there’s absolutely no questioning that he’s a fantasy stud. Embiid is one of those players that can impact your team in several different areas.
His FanDuel salary is $10,700 and he’s projected for a big game against the Nets and Jarrett Allen at 58.85 points.
Brooklyn’s stud is point guard D’Angelo Russell. He’s been the Nets leader on the floor and is their best fantasy player. His FanDuel salary is $7,100 with a projection of 35.49 points.
In terms of value picks, there likely aren’t two bigger values tonight than J.J. Redick and Spencer Dinwiddie.
Redick, who is having a resurgent season, has a salary of $5,500 on FanDuel and he is projected for 27.7 points. Dinwiddie is coming off a great performance in the Nets’ most recent game and he’s been Brooklyn’s sixth man. His FanDuel salary of $6,000 should net you about 27.43 fantasy points.
