Sacramento Kings at Dallas Mavericks Preview
The Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks face off tonight in an interconference matchup at the American Airlines Center.
Sacramento is not eliminated from the playoffs yet, but they are currently on the outside looking in sitting ninth in the Western Conference standings. They have a 36-37 record and are 6.5 games behind the two-way tie for the 8th seed. On Sunday, they lost 106-111 to the Lakers which brought them to a record of 4-6 in their last 10 games.
Meanwhile, Dallas currently sports the second-worst record in the Western Conference with a 29-44 record. However, they somehow beat the top-seeded Golden State Warriors 126-91 on Saturday. That seems more like an outlier as they’ve gone 2-8 in their other last ten games.
Sacramento will be aiming for the season sweep after beating the Mavericks by 116-100 just last Thursday.

The Sacramento Kings have struggled recently losing five of their last eight games. They’re hoping to bounce back after losing to the struggling Lakers in a 111-106 road loss on Sunday. LeBron James was on the floor for 35 minutes, allowing the perennial All-Star to net a triple-double with 29 points.
Marvin Bagley III led the team with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Bogdan Bogdanovic was able to come off the bench and put up 17 points with four assists. Buddy Hield also contributed 18 points but De’Aaron Fox really struggled as he finished with only nine points and went 3-16 from the field.
As s team, Sacramento shot 37 percent from the field and were 14 of 33 from three and forced the Lakers into 22 turnovers. Sacramento was right with the Lakers till the end, but a bad third quarter where Los Angeles put up 39 points ended up being the deal breaker.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have struggled even more losing 15 of their last 18 games. However, to the surprise of many bettors’, they somehow defeated the top-seeded Warriors in a 126-91 road win on Saturday, albeit without Steph Curry.
Luka Doncic led the way and contributed even more to his campaign for rookie of the year as he added another triple-double of 23 points with 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Dirk Nowitzki knocked down five 3-pointers on his way to 21 points while Max Kleber contributed 16 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Overall, it was an offensive clinic for Dallas as they shot a healthy 53 percent from the field and went 21 of 49 from the 3-point line. They exploded for 74 points in the first half which allowed them to cruise to victory in the second half.
