San Francisco Giants Vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Picks & Prediction

The Giants are averaging 4.86 runs per nine innings, third overall in MLB.  They have a team batting average of .238, 21st in the league, and their OPS is .724, 10th overall in baseball.  San Francisco’s pitching staff has allowed 4.29 runs per nine innings, 14th in MLB with opponents’ batting .251 against the club, 22nd in the league.

Los Angeles is averaging 5.18 runs per nine innings, second in Major League Baseball. They have a team batting average of .255, fifth in the league, and their OPS is .770, second in all of MLB.  The Dodgers’ pitching staff has allowed 3.29 runs per nine innings, second in the league with opponents’ batting .217 against the team, third in MLB.

Besides the New York Yankees, the Dodgers have the most dangerous lineup in all of baseball, every player in their lineup one through nine can hit the ball out of the ballpark and drive in runs; this will be a challenge for the Giants Carolos Rodon who’s been an All-Star two straight seasons and making his 10th start on the road in 2022.  I’m taking Los Angeles in their first game after the All-Star Game covering the 1.5 run spread as the clubs combine to score under 8.5 runs.
