The (10-3) Seahawks control their own destiny to winning the NFC West. They currently are one game behind the 49ers, but they still have their Week 17 game against them. If both teams win out before that game, the Seahawks would still have the advantage with a win because they beat the 49ers earlier in the season already and would hold the tiebreaker with another win. There would be a whole lot of other considerations for the number one seed in the NFC after that as the Saints and Packers are both 10-3 also. The (5-8) Panthers are out of playoff consideration but still have the opportunity to shake up the final standings. Last week was not a week to remember for the Panthers. The Falcons ran all over them and it was just the fourth game in which Christian McCaffrey did not have a touchdown this season and the first time he has gone back-to-back games without one. Seattle Seahawks Analysis

Seattle SeahawksThe Seahawks lost what would have been a big win for them moving forward against the Rams last week. Offensively, they just didn’t score. Their numbers are respectable for the most part. Russell Wilson threw for 245 yards and Chris Carson rushed for 76 yards on 15 carries. The only real underperformer was Tyler Lockett with just 43 yards. The one stat that is missing is touchdowns for the offense. They had zero total which makes it very hard to win. Lucky for them, they have a team that gives up a lot of touchdowns this week.

The Panthers have allowed the most rushing touchdowns in the league with 24. It isn’t even very close as the next closest total is 19. They have also allowed the fourth-most rushing yards per game. The Seahawks have been a run-oriented team all year as they have the fifth-highest run percentage in the NFL. Chris Carson will be the main carrier with Rashaad Penny out. Russell Wilson can also use his legs though and will be a contributing factor, but Chris Carson should be the determining factor in the outcome of this game.

Carolina Panthers Analysis

Carolina PanthersThe Panthers are coming off a rough loss last week to the Falcons who managed to score 40 on them. A 93-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Olamide Zaccheaus was a little embarrassing. Devonta Freeman and Brian Hill ran the ball with ease and both walked away with a touchdown. For the Panthers’ offense, Christian McCaffrey had a big game in the receiving game with 11 receptions for 82 yards. He also had 53 yards on the ground to pass the century mark for the eleventh time this season. He has, by far, been the best running back in the league and the Panthers continue to utilize that.

They just need to lock down defensively to give the offense a chance at winning. It is very hard to beat 40 points and doesn’t happen much. Unlucky for the Panthers, the Seahawks are the sixth-best team in terms of points scored. They have been horrible at stopping the run this year. With the Seahawks being a run-heavy team, it doesn’t pose as a very good matchup. Offensively, they should find success through the air again. McCaffrey and D.J. Moore have been the top targets, but Curtis Samuel has been able to sneak in his athletic ability to create game-changing plays.

Daily Fantasy: Chris Carson Show

The Seahawks are a run-heavy team where Chris Carson will be lead back with Rashaad Penny out. Carson has been a dominant running back in almost every game this season. The past two weeks have been successful with 102 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Vikings two weeks ago. The Panthers have allowed the most rushing touchdowns by a significant margin this season which sets up a lot of red-zone work for Carson. They also average just under 140 total rushing yards against them per game, so he will have a busy game altogether on the ground.
