Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers Player Prop Picks

Which players will thrive in the Thunder vs. Clippers contest?

SGP (+129 FD): James Harden 2+ 3PM & Paul George 20+ Points & Jalen Williams 15+ Points

Oklahoma City surrenders the sixth most open plus wide open three-point attempts per game, along with the ninth most made threes per game (via NBA.com). Additionally, point guards average the third most made threes per game against them. James Harden is on a tear this season too. He owns a 41.9 three-point percentage on 6.4 attempts per game, and Harden has made at least two threes in 29 of 34 games this season.

The Thunder’s weak three-point defense also benefits Paul George, who has shot a 41.8 three-point percentage this season. Because 48.4 percent of his field goal attempts are three-point attempts, his shot diet is perfect for scoring here. George has cleared 20 points in 17 of his past 19 games, including a 22-point performance against Oklahoma City in only 29 minutes.

Finally, Jalen Williams has established himself as Oklahoma City’s second option in terms of scoring and playmaking. He faces a Clippers defense that lacks rim protection sans Ivica Zubac, which bodes well for his drives. Plus, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is playing through a knee sprain, so his volume could take a slight hit. Either way, the majority of the defensive attention will be focused on stopping “SGA”. Williams has reached 15 points in 12 of his past 13 games.

This same game parlay needs to hit at least 44 percent of the time for the bet to be profitable in the long run.

Chet Holmgren First Basket (+550 FD) & First Field Goal Exact 3PT (+2500 BMGM)

Holmgren is heavily favored to win the tip-off over Daniel Theis, so the Thunder are expected to get the first shot of the game. Standing 6’8” tall, Theis is an undersized center that likely struggles to handle 7’1” Holmgren’s mobility and off-the-dribble scoring. Oklahoma City routinely opens games with a Gilgeous-Alexander and Holmgren pick-and-pop, and Theis will be reluctant to step out and challenge Holmgren’s shot (if he can even get there in time).

Not only does Holmgren have the first basket usage, but his matchup is nice here. Therefore, getting +550 and +2500 represents great value. For those bets to be profitable in the long run, Holmgren needs to hit at least 16 and 4 percent of the time, respectively.
