Utah Jazz at Milwaukee Bucks 11/25/19: Starting Lineups, Matchup Preview, Daily Fantasy

Utah Jazz at Milwaukee Bucks Preview

In an interconference game this evening, the Utah Jazz will be on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks in a matchup featuring two teams that seemed destined for playoff runs even this early into the season. The Jazz are 11-5 on the season and are fifth in the Western Conference. They have won their last three games and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Jazz have struggled on the road this season with a 3-4 record away from Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The Bucks are the number one team in the East with a 13-3 record. They have won seven straight games and are 9-1 in their last 10 games. At Fiserv Forum, the Bucks have lost just one game this season.

The Bucks will be looking to avenge their 103-100 loss to the Jazz on November 8. Although Giannis Antetokounmpo had 30 points and 13 rebounds, Bojan Bogdanovic had 33.

Jazz Analysis

Utah JazzThe Jazz were able to go 2-0 in a back-to-back against the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans.

“The biggest thing we took away from last game was just being able to come out with a hot start,” Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell said. “Obviously, on a back-to-back you get a little fatigued in the second half. They started making shots. For us to withstand what we did without Rudy, I think it says a lot.”

Rudy Gobert is questionable tonight and the level of competition will definitely increase against the Bucks. Against the Pelicans, the Jazz got out to a quick start, scoring 44 first-quarter points to put the pressure on the Pelicans.

Mitchell had 37 points in the win and Bogdanovic finished with 28. Reserve center Tony Bradley was solid in his start for Gobert, with 14 points and nine rebounds. They were three of six Jazz scorers to finish in double figures.

Bucks Analysis

Milwaukee BucksThe Milwaukee Bucks are one of the hottest teams in the NBA after reeling off seven straight wins. Coincidentally, the last time the Bucks lost, it came against the Jazz, so they’ll be focused on avenging that loss and extending their streak tonight.

The Bucks have played well on both ends of the floor, basically taking on the traits of their leader, Giannis.

“We’re definitely getting better, but we can be a lot better and a little bit more careful,” said forward Giannis Antetokounmpo recently.

In their 104-90 win against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, Giannis finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds. While he was one of only three players in double digits, the Bucks limited Andre Drummond and aside from Derrick Rose, most of the Pistons bench was limited as well.

It’s been encouraging for the Bucks that they’ve been able to continue winning even while Khris Middleton is out.

Key Player Matchups

Donovan Mitchell vs. Donte DiVincenzo

While DiVincenzo has filled in for Middleton admirably, he’s also been inconsistent at times, and he will have a tough matchup in Donovan Mitchell, who is averaging 26 points per game. Mitchell did struggle some in his last game against Milwaukee.

Bojan Bogdanovic vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo

This could prove to be an intriguing matchup as Bogdanovic has become Utah’s second-leading scorer and is capable of getting hot from the outside. He could draw Giannis out to the perimeter to try to limit him defensively, but on the other side of the floor, Giannis is hard to stop and should prove to be a difficult matchup for Bogdanovic. Quin Snyder will likely allow Bogdanovic to funnel Giannis into the paint where Rudy Gobert or Tony Bradley can provide some support.

Daily Fantasy

Donovan Mitchell and Giannis Antetokounmpo are tonight’s studs. Mitchell is a fantasy steal with a FanDuel salary of $8.4k with a projection of 42.08 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo is available for $11.8k and has a projection of 61.12 points.

If you’re looking for a value player that will boost your shooting percentages and three-pointers, Bojan Bogdanovic could fill that void. He’s has a salary of $6.6k and is projected for 32.09 points.
