Week 10 WR Waiver Pickups & Adds: Fantasy Football FAAB Bids, % Owned

Week 10 is a heavy bye week with six teams out, and if you are like me and need some fill in options, we have a few for you. The Patriots names listed below won’t be able to help you this week, but once they return are going to be prime starts the rest of the way. Injuries are starting to clear up with Davante Adams back, and AJ Green is closer to a return. However, Adam Thielen re-injured his hamstring, possibly returning too early from the injury. To win those fantasy football leagues, you are going to have to win the waiver wire as well. You can find the top wide receivers to pick up by rank for this upcoming week.

Shallow League Pickups

Mohamed SanuMohamed Sanu – New England Patriots

Mohamed Sanu saw 14 targets in the Week 9 loss against Baltimore. He caught ten of them for 81 yards and a touchdown. It is pretty clear that Sanu is the WR2 here behind Julian Edelman and New England values him highly given the release of Josh Gordon. In deeper leagues Sanu is already picked up, but in more shallow leagues he looks to be a weekly starter from here on out.

marquise brownMarquise Brown – Baltimore Ravens

While Marquise Brown wasn’t quite as healthy, he suited up against New England and had three catches for 48 yards. This was a good step for Brown in his return. He has 43 targets over six games this season. While Baltimore isn’t a pass heavy offense, it is clear when Brown is healthy, he is a guy Lamar Jackson continues to look for. Brown was dropped in shallow leagues due the injury absence and should be picked up again.

jamison crowderJamison Crowder – New York Jets

Jamison Crowder is more of a PPR league guy, as he doesn’t have enough value in other formats. He has at least five targets in each of the last four weeks, and will be in favorable game scripts over the next few weeks given this team is in complete shambles. Crowder generates his fantasy points through receptions, and he has 21 receptions over the last four weeks. He gets a strong schedule the next few weeks, facing the Giants, Redskins, Raiders, Bengals, and Dolphins.

Deeper League Pickups

Phillip Dorsett – New England Patriots

Phillip Dorsett still remains the third wide receiver on the Patriots through the recent moves. In deeper leagues, Dorsett is an add to consider. He should hover around the five target mark each week, and will have a lower floor given the options surrounding him, but we have seen some upside. The Patriots should find themselves in themselves in favorable games in terms of passing volume.

Josh Reynolds – Los Angeles Rams

Brandin Cooks concussion is a concern given the number he has had in his career. Josh Reynolds filled in as the third wideout, and this is a pass happy offense that has enough volume to make him a play. So far this season the Rams are throwing 62% of the time, which ranks top ten in the league. This is up from 56% in 2018. He had eight targets after Cooks left the came, and posted a 3-73-1 line. We saw Reynolds will in as the third wideout much of last season with Cooper Kupp out.

Auden Tate – Cincinnati Bengals

I still like Auden Tate in deeper leagues, despite the quarterback change and AJ Green on his way back. He has 30% of the red zone targets in Cincinnati, and has 6+ targets in each week since Week 2. He has four double-digit PPR games since Week 2, and has no less than nine since that time as well. Cincinnati will continue to have positive game scripts for the passing game, which gives Tate a chance to continue with these targets. The Bengals are throwing over 70% of the time, and rank second in the league.

Devante ParkerDeVante Parker – Miami Dolphins

The Preston Williams news is deflating as he will be out the rest of the year. That will free up some targets for remaining options moving forward. Ryan Fitzpatrick has also unlocked potential for these wideouts. The Jets will only face two tough defenses the rest of the way, as New England and Buffalo still loom on the schedule. Otherwise it is a schedule where the offense can at least have some fantasy relevance. Parker is inside the top 40 in terms of fantasy wideouts, and has double digit fantasy points in all but two games this season. One was New England.
