Gonzaga is the top dog this week after Louisville fell. The Bulldogs might sit here the rest of the season as they enter West Coast Conference play. They could be tested by BYU and St. Mary’s at some point this season.
2. Duke 12-1
Duke opened up conference play with a win over Boston College. The Blue Devils have looked great since their loss to Stephen F. Austin earlier this season. The ACC might come down to them and Louisville this season.
3. Kansas 10-2
Kansas rebounded against Stanford over the weekend. They open up Big 12 play against West Virginia on Saturday who came off a huge win over Ohio State. Fortunately, they are home for the matchup and could catch the Mountaineers napping.
4. Baylor 10-1
Baylor has been on an incredible run in non-conference. They would be one of the few unbeaten teams remaining if it weren’t for an early season loss to Washington. However, they will be looking to compete with the best in the Big 12.
5. Louisville 11-2
Louisville fell to in-state rival Kentucky over the weekend. They fell from their number one spot in the Lineups power rankings because of it, but will be looking to bounce back against Florida State in their ACC opener.

12. Virginia 10-2
Despite two tough losses, Virginia should be atop the pack in the ACC. Their defense is still one of the best in the country. However, it hasn’t been as lethal this season, so it could hurt them if opponents have hot scoring nights.
13. Maryland 11-2
Maryland finally got back into the win column after back to back losses to Penn State and Seton Hall. They still have one of the most talented teams in the country, but head coach Mark Turgeon could be a liability.
14. Michigan State 10-3
Michigan State gets Illinois in their next Big Ten matchup. Cassius Winston has been injured over the last few weeks, but should be able to suit up against the Illini. This will be a huge return for Tom Izzo’s squad. They can’t make a run without Winston.
15. San Diego State 14-0
San Diego State can’t lose! The Aztecs are 14-0 and 3-0 in conference play. They find themselves in a very good position to go undefeated. Utah State is probably the toughest team they’ll play in their conference.
16. Kentucky 9-3
Kentucky had a great bounce back performance against their in-state rival Louisville over the weekend. They now sit at 9-3 and open up SEC play against Mizzou. As sloppy as Kentucky has looked at times, Calipari will have this team ready to make a run.

19. Michigan 10-3
Michigan has won two straight after the cold spell they went on. However, the competition in those games wasn’t great and will be tested by in-state rival Michigan State on Sunday as Big Ten play is in full swing.
20. Arkansas 11-1
