This week, U.S. sports betting operator 888 Holdings announced that the company would be launching in Colorado, Indiana, and Iowa in 2021. 888 Holdings, which operates 88sport, will now be operating in six U.S. states with already in Delaware, New Jersey, and Nevada.
888’s new locations will be at:
– Grande Casino, Cripple Creek, Colorado
– Catfish Bend Casino, Burlington, Iowa
– Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Anderson, Indiana
“The U.S. online betting and gaming market has huge growth potential, and we continue to build a strong platform for growth across both our B2B and B2C operations,” said 888 CEO Itai Pazner. 888 announced that it is pleased with the growth it sees in the U.S. The company should continue to see that growth in the three states it will be launching in.
888 Makes Entrance in Three Great Sports Betting States
888 Holdings is entering Colorado, Indiana, and Iowa in 2021, all sports-betting-friendly states. This will allow 888sport to continue expansion in the U.S.
888 originally launched U.S. operations in Nevada and then quickly shifted east in 2018 when it launched in New Jersey and Delaware. Adding the three states in 2021 will help 888 Holdings continue to expand if it finds the same success as it did in the states it is currently operating in.
888 is currently trading at $3.72 a share on the London Stock Exchange. Although it is still a small public company, this move could be the boost it needs to add to its share price. 888 Holdings hit an all-time high in May 2018 at $4.37 a share.
Now, with the U.K. sports betting operator expanding into three more U.S. states, it could see its share price move past its all-time high from two and a half years ago.
Overall, all three states will be great for 888sport to operate in the upcoming year. Colorado is friendly towards sportsbooks entering the market, and Iowa and Indiana will allow 888 to capitalize on the growing market. Colorado might be the most advantageous for 888 at the end of the day.
What to Expect From 888
Expect 888 Holdings to continue its expansion across the U.S. the sportsbook will be in six U.S. states by the end of 2021 and could add more before next year is over and beyond. More states are going live sports betting, so if 888 Holdings continues to see success in the U.S., then it could try to enter a market earlier in the state’s process.
Colorado and Indiana both saw its sports betting handles surpass $200 million in October. This shows how big the sports betting markets can get, and 888 will be a prime candidate to capitalize.
Although the sportsbook is smaller and is not as well known as DraftKings and FanDuel, 888 will have the opportunity to change that next year if 888sport can make a name for itself in more states in U.S. popularity. Operating in six U.S. states is a good start, but 888 will want to go bigger after 2021 is over.
888 will enjoy U.S. expansion and could become a legit player in the U.S. market over the next few years. Despite starting in the U.K., it will try to make a name in the U.S.
