Around the Betting Industry
The push is on to legalize sports betting in Florida in 2020. State Senator Jeff Brandes (R-St. Petersburg) says Florida is missing out on much-needed tax revenue by keeping sports betting underground. “We think it’s time for Florida to take it out of the shadows and into the sunshine,” he said.
Brandes filed a bill that would authorize the Florida Lottery to offer sports betting through self-service kiosks. The state lottery would also offer licenses for businesses to take sports bets through websites and mobile apps. Licensees would split their proceeds 50-50 with the state’s share going to fund scholarships and educational services.

Oklahoma State & USC Both to Win
+475 to +540
It should be a high-scoring affair that could go either way in the battle between Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. USC is just a 2.5 point underdog so it is safe to say that game could also go either way. While they are both underdogs, the +540 is almost too juicy to pass up.
Celtics & Pacers & Sixers all to win
+370 to +405
The Celtics are more than 13-point favorites against a bad Cleveland Cavaliers team. The Pacers are just a 4.5-point underdog at Miami. The Sixers are a three-point favorite on the road against Orlando. It may just come down to the Pacers pulling the upset in this one and with more than +400 odds this bet is certainly tempting and may be worth a shot.
Light the Menorah: 8 or more total goals in the Flames vs Oilers game
+290 to +320
The total in this game is set at six goals. So taking just one extra goal above the over with such high odds at +320 is certainly a nice payout without too much extra risk.
Islanders & Maple Leafs & Avalanche all to win
+277 to +305
The Islanders are a -140 favorite, the Maple Leafs are a -200 favorite and the Avalanche are also a -200 favorite. All three of these teams are solid favorites to win tonight and they should all do just that against teams ranked in the bottom half of their divisions. At +305 this is certainly the best boost of the night.

#22 USC vs #16 Iowa (-2.5) – 8:00 PM
The USC Trojans (8-4) take on the Iowa Hawkeyes (9-3) in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego tonight. USC closed out their season on a three-game winning streak. Iowa also ended their season on a three-game winning streak.
USC finished the season with some pretty solid offensive numbers. The Trojans were 34th in scoring thanks to their sixth-ranked pass offense. While the Trojans were 15th in the country in yards per play, they struggled on the ground as they were one of the worst teams in rushing yards per game with 126.5 (113th). The USC defense didn’t have as good of a season as their offense did. The Trojans were middle of the pack in terms of points allowed per game (66th). They struggled to defend the run (76th) and were even worse against the pass (99th).
Iowa was once again one of the defensive powerhouses in the country. The Hawkeyes allowed the fifth-fewest points per game in the country. They had a great pass defense that ranked 11th and a solid rush defense that came in at 24th. Iowa allowed the 13th-fewest yards per play in the country. The Hawkeye offense was certainly their downfall this season. Iowa was just 99th in points scored per game this season. Their average pass attack ranked 67th and they were a surprising 96th in rushing offense. Iowa was just 86th in yards per play on offense this season.
While the Iowa offense hasn’t been very good this season, they had to face a lot of tough defenses this season (Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Minnesota). They should have a better performance tonight against a suspect USC defense. As for the Trojans, this Iowa defense will be the toughest they have seen all season. I expect them to have a hard time moving the ball as this elite Iowa defense locks down and has another great game. Iowa’s offense should do enough to not only get the win but also the cover on this small spread. Iowa will win because of their defense but their passing attack will have a few big plays that will standout.
