Massachusetts might not have legalized sports betting in 2020 despite Governor Charlie Baker’s predicted mid-year launch, a top legislator handling the issue told the Boston Herald — though Rhode Island already has it and New Hampshire plans to start Monday. Senator Eric Lesser, Senate chairman of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, on Thursday would not commit to a 2020 timeline. Sports betting in Massachusetts must be rolled out “correctly,” Lesser said, adding Rhode Island had a “rocky” start, falling below projected revenues.
Representative Brad Hill, the House’s assistant minority leader, said he expects a “big push” to legalize sports gambling before the Legislature adjourns in July.

#25 Oklahoma State vs Texas A&M (53.5) – 6:45 PM
The Oklahoma State Cowboys (8-4) take on the Texas A&M Aggies (7-5) in the Texas Bowl tonight. Oklahoma State enters this game coming off of a loss to Oklahoma in their last game after winning their previous four games. Texas A&M won four straight games against some weak competition before losing their last two games of the season to Georgia and LSU.
The Cowboys finished the regular season ranked #25. Oklahoma State ended the season ranked 32nd in points scored and a big reason why was their running game. The Cowboys finished 16th in the nation in rushing behind Chuba Hubbard and his nation-leading 1,936 rushing yards (plus 21 touchdowns). The defense has been an issue for the Cowboys this season as they are 62nd in points allowed per game. They have struggled against the pass (113th) and have been about average against the rush (60th).
Texas A&M had one of the toughest schedules in the country but still had a disappointing season. The Aggies failed to live up to their expectation this season as they beat just one bowl-eligible team this season. What was expected to be a high-powered offense ranked just 61st in points scored per game. Their passing attack (54th) and rushing attack (74th) haven’t been much to be afraid of but a lot of that could be do to the high level of SEC competition they have played. The Aggies defense has some solid numbers this season as they are 37th in points allowed per game.
I could see either team winning this game with ease but I do expect a scoring spree from both teams. I expect a big game out of Hubbard as this will probably be his final collegiate game. The Aggies offense should have a better day closer to their potential against a vulnerable Cowboys’ defense. The total seems low for this game so I am rolling with the OVER in this game as I expect it to get surpassed with ease.
